Say what you want about Gus, he does suck, say what you want about the defense giving up 90 yard drives, the fact is that the offensive play calling (and a few untimely blitzes that didn't arrive) were the doom for this game.

Miami established momentum on the first possession of the 3rd q by pounding RB, and we get cute with a gadget play against one of the fastest defenses?

We open our first drive and try a reverse against a gap penetrating defense, every little league football coach knows that you must first pound a defense like that to set up the counters, reverses, etc. We try it when they're fresh and dancing in our backfield... what's the thinking here Scott?

We put our weakest db on Finerman 1:1 coverage in the red zone...can anyone spell touchdown?

Atlanta gave Miami a pass by not blitzing and playing press. They lackadasically dropped into their soft zones, gave Gus all the time in the world, and still can't complete a down field pass. Dolphins expected blitz and man coverage - got zone and didn't know what to do against it -bad coaching for not sticking to the run - straight pounding run game.

3rd and 2, game tieing opportunity in a game where you should be blown out, the run is not being stopped, your QB is the weak link in the offense, and you put the game in his hands? What are you thinking here Scott? That you're going to trick Atlanta's defense - what, again? They knew we were throwing!! Why did they know this? Why didn't we know that they would know this and do something that has been working the entire freaking game? Like hand the ball off to R or R?

Coaches blew the game by not capitalizing on the strength of the teams talent and placing the onus of winning on the weakest links of the team.

Period. Same for the Jets game , same for the Buffalo game. We beat Denver and Carolina running the ball and taking some shots DEEP down field.

We're getting too cute for our own good. 6-10 at best this year.
