Coaches Corner: Bill Lazor

Thanks, man. Been waiting for this one. This dude always seems sharp. He and Tannehill are both media pros.

Also he looks/sounds like Viggo Mortensen to me.

Looks like Rt's throwing motion has tightened and shortened up some. Very nice.

Lot of good video from the OTA playing in the back ground. Jennings (#85) looks in mid season form and should be big early on until Parker's at full strength. Great move to bring the vet in.

The had a coaches corner with Coyle last week but i'm in show me mode with him after the way his D played at the end of last year.

Love his comments about Parker. I'm sure everyone is still getting used to watching #11 snatch the ball with his hands and adjust & attack the ball in the air. Also of note is that Lazor mentions they worked on his route running. There were a few issues I saw with Parker concerning his cuts/breaks in and out of his routes. They were small issues as far as proper gather steps, stride length, and head movement that clearly seem to be correctable with proper coaching. Another thing that the former #11 was never able to grasp. It's not like Parker is slow by any means (4.45, 40) so these things should also put to rest any concern about Parker's ability to separate at the NFL level. (Looking at you Hayden.)

Really glad that headache is gone.

It's really going to suck when he moves on to another team to become a top flight coach and we're stuck with Philbin holding back the potential of the team...

Sike. Philbin fails. Lazor for HC.

Joe brought Lazer here so he has to get some credit but I see what you're saying and I agree that Bill lazer has a bright future as a Head Coach. When Lazer speaks he is such a better communicator than Philbin that it's not even close. I can't listen to Philbin speak for very long or I get annoyed. He always seems to be hiding something that he won't reveal because it would give our opposition such a strategic advantage. It's really just a cheap attempt to act like actually has valuable information in his head. I don't think he does and his act has really grown old and it's not ever going to change. Lazer, on the other hand, is a young dynamic guy who is smart as hell and clearly brings a great deal to the table. Tannehill has grown by leaps and bounds thanks to Lazer and what could be more important than making your QB a much better player? Hopefully, Lazer sticks with us for another 2 to 3 years and by then maybe Joe will be ready to walk off into the sunset and turn things over to Lazer. It should be interesting because I'm really feeling that we will be a very good team this year. I see Playoffs for sure and who knows how far after that. But for now let's just get there!

I have never actually listened to a Philbin press conference since he has been here! Not going to start now.

'we've got to get better at situational football...'

Exactly Mr. Lazor. The problem for you is I don't believe that is something that can be taught.

Lazor will be a head coach someday, and if he lucks into a QB he'll probably be a good one. His story will be a good one too as he's worked under some great head coaches.

I hope you aren't including your boy Philbin in this list...

I'm with you guys on coach Joe but he's the guy now so I hope he gets the job done. Just don't lose any games by poor decision making (like the time out last year)

Me too Langer. i will post everyone else's press conference but his although they would be a good cure for insomnia :idk:
