Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher and Wisconsin legend Barry Alvarez are squaring off in a steel-cage match against Rutgers coach Greg Schiano and Butch Davis to take over at Miami.


Tulsa's Steve Kragthorpe, West Virginia's Rich Rodriguez and Navy's Paul Johnson are all prime candidates at North Carolina, along with Butch Davis.


Cal's Jeff Tedford could be bolting for the NFL... maybe.


Glen Mason could be on his way out at Minnesota.

I really see Butch getting the UNC job for some reason. I am starting to like the program that is coming together at Chapel Hill. They have a crazy talented recruiting class this year and they could be somewhere in a few years.

As for Cowher, I've heard quite a bit he's almost sure to be gone at the end of the season due to contractual complications. CollegeFootballTalk.com was reporting that Wannstedt is a frontrunner for the job if Cowher does indeed get dropped from his contract.

You can't be serious. He's been at Pitt for not even 2 seasons. Surely they wouldn't hire him after what he did to us.
