Lists Joe on hot seat because of bullygate. Interesting what he says about Mike Sherman.

If there's a situation to keep tabs on in terms of Miami's coaching staff, it may center on offensive coordinator Mike Sherman and whether Philbin is convinced he's the right man for the job. Despite Sherman's strong relationship with starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill, some sources question whether Sherman is getting the most out of the offensive personnel he has to work with.

Joe would never fire Sherm. Sherman could quit, but he won't be fired.

are we the sources. sometimes it seems that way with these journalist.

Funny how polar the media is on Joe. Herm Edwards is saying Joe should be a coach of the year candidate for keeping the team together during this mess and others chastize.

It's pretty obvious all 3 are on the hot seat. But if Philbin and Sherman can pull out 3 out of 4 wins in the last qtr of the season all 3 may survive.Although Ireland may go regardless.

4-0 all 3 stay.
3-1 make the playoffs all 3 stay
3-1 miss the playoffs 2 out of 3 stay
2-2 if the games are close 2 out of 3 may stay.
1-3 2 out of 3 are gone
0-4 all 3 are gone.

Sherman needs to go regardless (along with Ireland), don't care how it happens he just needs to go. Tannehill could do with a change of scenery and Sherman has lost a step even from last season. In my opinion you need to have a young mind to be a good OC and Sherman either isn't putting the work in or he's just not physically capable of putting the work in anymore at his age. I'm guessing he's a great motivator and he's probably a good X's and O's guy but he's lacking in the film study department and the game day chess match that goes on with the opposing defensive coordinator.

The playoffs are the goal. Ross spent the money. Now it's on the GM to pick the players and the coaches to get the most out of that talent.

Anything short of the playoffs as a failure to me before the season started. We've been hovering around .500 for years. That isn't good enough.

No playoffs? Clean house.

Just before he fires himself.

 We can only hope

Ross said before the season that he expected us to be in the playoffs this year. I would think missing the playoffs would not make him a happy camper and a house cleaning may be in order.

Do you really think Ross's business management style is that simple? Or is this what your strategic thinking would be?

If we have a meaningful game week 17 Ross will be happy. Lose the next 3 and the stadium will be a ghost town week 17, then with everything else that happened Philbin is in trouble. What you're not anticipating is how disgruntled the fan base will be if we go on another 3 or 4 game losing streak, while in the middle of a playoff race.

Agree 154%.
