Obviously Gase is failing miserably. The team is getting worse as time goes on. I want to point out to those saying he needs another offseason to get his players that Dan Campbell had ZERO offseasons and his presence was felt. What a huge mistake letting him go.
 
I agree...how anyone can say he deserves a shot next year has me baffled. The team looks unmotivated, unprepared, and the lack of creativity and adjustments make me scratch my head. I was really rooting for the QB whisperer but he is failing miserably.
 
Dan Campbell wouldn't of made a difference this year.

The only games he made a difference in we're the first 2 he coached where Miami beat up baaaaaad teams.

We just got beat by a baaaaad team. You think he didn't make a difference in beating a Pats team who were in a must win situation? You know it's a sign of a strong character to admit when you're wrong. Might want to consider that before doubling down on nonsense and continuing to beat the drum that Campbell was just an illusion.

I'm going hyperbolic, but someone show me a part of the HC job Gase has gotten right? Yes, I'm saying that out of frustration, but game-planning, play-calling, evaluating talent, "cleaning u" stupid penalties? Help me.

Work schedule. Philbin used to practice on Saturday and players complained they were tired for games. Gase is practicing on the normal NFL schedule. He got that right.

He was just an illusion or he wouldn't of been dropped back down to TE coach. Gase has sucked so far, but to make it seem that Campbell would have this **** team in any better position is laughable.

They also started 1-3 last year until he took over and he did put them in a better position... so... ha?

Payton made him an assistant HC. He's working his way up the ladder. Being loyal to this **** team probably slowed down his career progression. And personally I don't give a **** what the league thinks of him. There are few truly intelligent people running teams in this league. It's a culture of toadies and ass kissing. Most teams follow the same tired patterns in hiring their HCs which is why the vast majority of them fail in under 5 years. When presented with Campbell we had the opportunity to make a choice that was outside the norm. It would have displayed intuition and ingenuity. Which are things Ross is incapable of.
 
Can I throw in the mix that we screwed the pooch not going after Zimmer? Yes, it looks good in hindsight, but he was my choice all along.

Good call. It's amazing that we keep hiring Cincinnati defensive coaches yet missed out on the best one by far.

cant help you because there is nothing to point to. His report card has all F's. He's a natural disaster as a HC.
