Coby Fleener is a free agent this year. With all the talk about keeping / not keeping Jordan Cameron, why not try and get Fleener instead? I would say he is as better option and is apparently only going to get about $4 million per year. That is almost half of what we would owe Cameron. What are your thoughts? Personally, I would much rather have Fleener at a cheaper rate than I would Cameron.

I thought Indy released dwayne allen so they can keep fleener?

Would love to have both! I don't trust Sims hands and if we are running the Colts offense then we really need a pair of receiving threats at TE. If I had to choose between the 2 I would probably say Fleener since he knows this new offense well but I would be fine with Cameron at a reduced salary.

Well its probably not fair to judge Cameron based on what was going on here last year, that being said not keen on having 9.5M hit on the cap that would have to be adjusted.

I've read where Gase wants to keep Cameron and that Cameron wants to stay. I expect a new deal to get done.

if the money was the same? Cameron

Money isn't the same....that's the point of the thread

I'm looking for a new deal where Cameron will cost around $5M this year and believe it will happen.

Why didn't we see more production from Cameron last year? He looked quite good pre-season. He can run and he can catch. I don't understand why we didn't use him more.
BTW - I thought that Dion Sims looked pretty good in the final game against the Patriots. Don't be surprised if he is much better than expected.

He was forced to stay at the LOS for pass protection.

I keep seeing posts about Sims hands but his hands are solid IMO

Cameron. If Gase/Tanny can use Cameron properly, (as a seam threat, not a blocker) he is the kind of TE we need.
Indy's TEs do nothing for me. They are oft injured and not big playmakers. Meh.

I would rather take a chance on Ladarius Green than Dwayne Allen or Coby Fleener.
