Cohen: How Special Was Tannehi

His best game in at least 2 seasons.

I predicted he Would do well and he did. He had multiple plays where the pocket broke down and his feet put him in the right place to extend the play.

All season he's been fantastic at the deep ball when it's right in front of him. He shines when the deep pass is straight ahead, as opposed to when he has to throw it to the left or right. I'd like to chart the difference in his accuracy on those pass plays compared to when he throws it deep tom the left or right, when the season is over. I'd bet he Would be among the best in the NFL.

And Gase has set up plays for him to do that extremely well. Gase clearly sees it too.

This game gave me faith Tannehill can make the jump. Zero complaints about him in this game from me.
 
That pass to Stills was a thing of beauty. Officially, it was a 39 yd TD, but he was standing at the 50 yd line, with a man in his face, and threw the damn thing all the way to the back of the endzone with pinpoint precision. Just freakin amazing!

He has those moments that frustrate a lot of us, but then I really can't remember any other Dolphins QB since you-know-who who made throws like the ones Tannehill makes.

Yes! Finally! That's what we've been waiting for. I was happy to see it.
 
RT has a great arm. That pass was crazy on point. It looks like he is coming around with actual good coaching. The run he made on 3rd 11 was sweet. He is a tough, athletic kid.
