Daunte Culpepper has cost the phins two games now and I don't want to sound like I know more than coach Saban because I don't. He has my respect and I was really happy we have him as head coach. The only thing I have to say about the performance of Daunte Culpepper so far is that he is below average right now and the guys aren't making any plays. You can't give these excuses that he needs time to get used to his new receivers because Drew Brees played pretty good yesterday and we have seen rookies like Marino and Roethlisberger play well the first time with new wide outs. He has more than adequate weapons at his disposal with All-Pro Chris Chambers and Randy McMicheal and Marty Booker, lets not forget about Ronnie Brown out of the backfield. He is struggling and when your starting picture is having an off day....what do you do???
I will tell you what you do....you go to the bull pen....and we have two guys who I think can get the job done in Joey Harrington and Cleo Lemon.
I am not bashing Culpepper...he is a good QB, but for some reason he is off his game and needs to prove he can get the job done in a hurry or we will see the bull pen real soon because our season absolutely cannot unfold like last year....we are stumbling out of the gate again and it's inexcusable and the fans will not tolerate that kind of lackluster performance we all saw last year. If the players put on the clown suits again....then it's high time Nick cleaned house of all the underachievers and get some players who will play with some desire, heart and some pride.

Amen brother. I've been saying all along that Culpepper looked horrible in preseason and didn't deserve to be the starter until he was more healthy and playing up to par.

GO PHINS~!

Like I said, I like Daunte and think he has talent but... if he isn't producing, sit him down until he can find his rhythm, we can't afford to lose any more games, especially in the AFC if we have any plans on making the play offs this year.

You can't simply blame the losses on Culpepper. They lost as a team.
I understand that, but he did throw some picks at crucial times against both Buffalo and Pittsburgh and he fumbled twice against the Bills. He hasn't produced that many points and he owes us a few come from behind wins now since he had the chance to win these last two games and blew it. Harrington should get a chance if Culpepper continues to struggle is all I am saying. Is Daunte still going to be the starter if Joey come in to relieve him? Yes, unless Daunte can't get out of this funk he is in.

when he threw the pick against buffalo we were down 3 at half time, 3 points

i understand against pitt the first pick i think was just a good play but the second one was bad

but daunte is no where near the problem, daunte started out 10-11 when he had time to throw he got the job done, plus the announcers said the corners were dominating the recievers, it is not dauntes fault if the recievers arent doing their jobs

Yeah because his rhythm is hiding and the bench and that's probably where he'd fine it. These threads are seriously getting old. I guess I need to relearn the sport of football because I didn't realize it was one on one. QB vs. QB.

Ahh this is why I love your posts Aqua, they are informative, true, and dont pull any punches... Even if at times I dont fully agree with them, this is one of the times I do.
