I know I will get hammered for this for a couple of reasons. 1 I don't have many posts (this is because I usually don't post I just read what everyone else is saying) and 2 because they could be gambles. I like the new breed of QB that can throw and run with the ball so here are my QB's worth a look in the future that we can groom to take over. I am on the same boat with wanting to win now so I say we keep a veteran until a rookie or youngster is ready to take over. Well here is my list!

1)DJ Shockley (Georgia) I have thought he was better than David Greene all along and this year he is proving it. This kid is going to be dynamite at the next level, mark my words.
2)Vince Young- (Texas) Needs a little work on throwing but could be groomed. Might be a gamble due to lack of accuracy.
3)Reggie McNeil- (Texas A&M) See Vince Young, but these two are explosive.
4)The kid from UAB, I can't remember his name off the top of my head but he has a rifle for an arm. I know there are others I am leaving out, but that is because I don't want to write a book, but I truly believe Shockley should be our next QB! Thoughts?

UAB would be Hackney. I'm trying to watch all UABs games this year, he is really a lot of fun to watch.

Might want to add Omar Jacobs to that list =).

Who does he play for again. I should know this but I am drawing a blank.
Thanks for Hackney, I think he is very underrated.
I have heard a lot about Jacobs but can't say I have seen him play.

Bowling Green Falcons.

Here's my list as it is shaping up right now...

1. Matt Leinart
2. Omar Jacobs
3. Vince Young
4. Sam Keller (the guy from AZ State)
5. Charlie Whitehurst
6. Hackney (from UAB)
7. Drew Tate
8. Jay Cutler
9. Brian Brohm
10. Pinegar (out of respect from KB21, since I've never seen him play)
11. Bruce Gradkowski
12. Chris Leak

Now that list is so preliminary it's ridiculous so don't really go by it.

I'll say this about Jacobs, the first chance we got to watch him was against Wisconsin when Brian Calhoun of Wisconsin rushed for like 250+ yards.

Jacobs had about 49 points in the bank on that game by the end of it, but Wisconsin was just plain able to score more points. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't that Wisconsin's D began to "figure out" Omar Jacobs in the second half (have I mentioned that I absolutely hate that term when it is used with regards to ultra-talented players? raise your hand if you were one of the people that claimed the league had "figure out" Jason Taylor after the year in which he only notched 2.5 sacks...).

Anyway back to the point Jacobs passed for like 450 yards and 4 TDs with 1 INT on the Wisconsin D and you're thinking to yourself, OH, yeah well you know this is Bowling Green's wide open offense and Wisconsin's defense just must not be very good.

Think again. In the two games since playing B.G. the Wisconsin D has allowed a total of 404 yards to Temple (who was able to score 16 points against AZ State and 17 points against Toledo) and North Carolina (who was able to put up 21 points on Georgia Tech). They have allowed only ONE FIELD GOAL between the two opponents.

In other words, Omar Jacobs went up against what is turning out to be one of the best defenses in college football, and tore the living **** out of them for 42 points with another touchdown in the bag as time expired...losing in a shootout mainly because B.G.'s defense sucks so badly, their OL couldn't protect Jacobs worth crap, and theri receivers dropped 4 balls in the second half...plus they lost their 1000 yard rusher to injury. All by himself against one of the top D's in the country, Jacobs was good for 450 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT, and about 7 touchdowns of total offense.
