still a long way till' opening day. If our coaching staff is competent enough, they will find within the roster, or cuts, the correct players to compliment this system. Will there be superstars on our LB unit? Probably not, but as long as they contribute and communicate well with our other defensive players, hopefully they won't be exposed so much.. Its sometimes a matter of concentration, repetition, and finding the right staff members, we can't have strengths everywhere, football IS the ultimate team sport!

Last year before season start there was a thread about Jelani Jenkins even being part of the Dolphins team long term. All he did was show up and show out. Despite the numbers he put up last year after being thrust in to duty unexpectedly as a first time starter in the league. We continue to undervalue him on the boards. We are talking about a kid who JUST turned 23 less then TWO months ago. Jenkins was a 5 star recruit, and top 10 national player as a SIXTEEN year old. He is barely scratching the surface of what he's capable of. Last year was absolute proof of that. Go back, and watch some of his tape at Florida, and you will see what I'm talking about.

So far the only "Dolphins" thing that has happened this offseason is Dion Jordan failing another drug test.
yep, something needs to be done there. Some games will always come down to a few points or a final kick. Sturg make me queasy.

Well we can all agree there that Jenkins played great last year and look forward to him again this year. But we need better depth at LB and a better Mike. Jenkins is only one man.
Just saw we waived a couple corners and a backup kicker to put the number of players on our roster at 74... is that last roster spot being saved for Collins?

I know Collins soon will be meeting with several teams but I've got a real good feeling (crosses fingers) that he will sign with the Fins........BIG reason - no state income tax on his salary if he plays here....that has to be a huge selling point to someone in his position since I'm sure he feels (and is undoubtedly right) that he is worth more than he will be getting paid due to his current situation...... but in FL he will get to keep more of it.

I would put CB on that list too; we addressed the position, but I'm not sure how comfortable I feel at the position. Two position of concern are a lot better than what we had a couple of months ago....let's get this done!

The roster limit is 90 this time of year. It also doesn't show the UDFA's yet. It will after this weekends rookie camp and "tryouts".
