Wow that kid can pass. Penny with a strong arm.

I don't want to take and I don't think there's any way we will draft a QB early but if this kid declared and we picked him in the second, I'd be seriously pumped.

I think he could well be the next Drew Brees. And he might wind up on a winning team too.

kid was money saturday - his team wins out and he get's the heisman

Heisman is a curse for QB's in the NFL....

Josh Freeman of Kansas St. (although he's only a junior as well) is the best NFL QB prospect of all the juniors IMO....the senior QB class is weak as water...

Freeman is 6-6, 250 and has a howitzer for an arm...plays in a more pro style offense than any of the other Big 12 QB's playing in these spread offenses and putting up all these gaudy stats...

Built like Jamarcus Russell and comparible arm strength IMO....stock could experience a meteoric type rise ala Jamarcus Russell if he declares...

Better than Jamarcus Russell....smarter....makes better decisions....

Colt McCoy had a hell of a game against Missouri...going 29-32 for 337 yards&2 TDs passing and rushing for 2 TDs...after watching him play,i think that whatever team gets him when he comes out, will be getting themselves a really good QB...

russels not a very good QB at the moment right now and a bit slow. i havent seen freeman play at all or heard nethign abotu him so i hope he doesnt compare to russel in that aspect.

can't judge russell. Half his own organization doesnt even want him. Hes a raider. and he has no o line.

You will hear about Freeman....lol....right now all the Big 12 QB's putting up the gaudy stats are getting all the hype....

He was a sophomore last year and set all Kansas State's school passing records.....against top teams like Oklahoma, etc....

I never liked Russell as an elite NFL prospect at QB....his stock rose dramatically after beating up a terrible Notre Dame defense in LSU's bowl game....and after he went to the combine and displayed the strongest arm they've ever seen...

The comparison with Freeman and Russell is that they are built the same....huge QB's with big arms....and both play(ed) in more pro style offenses in college....Freeman is the better prospect IMO....

Russell was also playing with Dwayne Bowe, Craig Davis, and Early Doucet....all 1st round talent at WR......Freeman isn't.....

In an interview in this weeks Sports Illustrated NBA preview issue McCoy said he's staying for his senior year since "Not very many guys have the opportunity to start at UT for four years." Of course that doesn't mean he couldn't change his mind, but he sounds serious.

I dunno. He's playing well, but, he's got "Rick Mirer" written all over him to me....I don't know why, but, it's the first read I got from him.

read somewhere he is going back to Texas

Colt McCoy is returning to Texas for his senior year.

I'm not sold on Josh Freeman. Yeah, he's a prototype big pocket passer who can scramble when needed -- like Roethlisberger and Culpepper. But he is very inconsistent. This year, he's been great against lousy opponents, but had three interceptions against Oklahoma last week and three more -- plus a really stupid fumble that cost his team seven points -- against Kansas today. Any team that drafts him had better invest at least two years in developing him before putting him into a game.
