My take on this: This was calculated. The Patriots wanted to make some staff changes and get rid of some coaches they were unsatisfied with, and found a sneaky way to: A) get rid of those coaches B) send those coaches to a team they have a rivalry with C) not be on the hook for their contracts
Absolutely. You notice that it wasn't the guys who are generally regarded as the best Patriots assistant coaches who are now under contract in Indianapolis.
So transparent this is what happened, and yet they won't even discuss it on Sirius NFL. I called, told them what I wanted to say, and they kept me on hold until I gave up.
