Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

I think you're either misunderstanding what I'm saying or...well, I'm not sure what the other option is.

Benjamin Allbright literally stated last night that the Eagles were "sniffing around" Jonathan Taylor.

Ian Rapoport literally stated this morning that there were "at least two" teams still working on the a Taylor trade.

These are two well-sourced, well-known reporters who have absolutely no reason to make stuff up.

I'm not saying that what they're reporting is fact. I'm simply suggesting that there's pretty decent evidence to suggest Miami ISN'T the only team involved here, while others (you included) seem to be insistent on ignoring said evidence and adamant that "it's all made up."
There was also a report the 6 teams inquired.

Is inquired the same as "sniffing around"?

Lot's of teams make calls to broach, that's far different from a tangible offer on the table from a "mystery team".

I'm not disputing potential interest, I'm skeptical there are any other serious offers in the mix.

Furthermore, I repeat again, you have NO IDEA what they stand to gain or loose.

There is zero credibility within these "insider" rumor circles and the information is often made available on a quid pro quo basis in frequent instances.

Often they are reporting factually because they pushed a narrative in a previous circumstance to be in position to be awarded said quality scoop.

Ice up son...

PS, I'm just having some fun, you know I love to get your GOAT ;)

Saw a report that the Colts don't consider any offer as significant. Its widely reported that Miami made an offer. Grier should tell them to bleep themselves at this point.

Never bid against yourself...

Oh. Okay, if you're going to go that road...lace 'em up, Skippy.

While I'm not claiming to know the inner workings of Benjamin Allbright's and Ian Rapoport's minds, I do know quite a bit about journalism. And I understand that established journalists are established for a reason.

So while YOU might have no idea about what they stand for and represent, I do. And some journalists (say for example, Allbright and Rapoport) are given legitimate information due to their relationships. Despite what you might think, it isn't always a wink and a nod and back-room deals.

I mean, heck, let's look into what you're suggesting. Let's not trust any source, because they're not actually Jonathan Taylor's agent, so their sources are suspect, right?

Heck, let's question everything. TV reports? Hogwash. Game scores? Naaaaah...we have NO IDEA what happened, unless we were actually there! Because we have no idea what the reporters have to gain or lose, right?

Or, maybe, just maybe, Rapoport knows what he's talking about when he says there are at least two teams actively trying to trade for Taylor. I believe that makes more sense to the "non batshit crazy" group than questioning Rapoport's motives.

GM's usually save their best offer until the last minute, today is the arbitrary deadline, we happened to pick up an additional 6th round pick today with the Feeney trade. Current offer on the table could be our 2 and 7, perhaps that gets sweetened to a 2, 6, 7 this afternoon to seal the deal. Just a thought, heard an old baseball GM talking through typical trade negotiations yesterday on the radio and his take was along those lines.

So you have a positive bias towards Journalism?

And I'm skeptical, herein lies our dispute lol.

You missed my PS edit, I told ya I just like to get your GOAT lol.

If one of us hits the Tua, "keep my name out your mouth" then we know it's time to scrap.

Quite the opposite, really. I'm of the opinion that the best journalism is devoid of bias. I actually never finished my Master's Thesis: My thesis question was "Is sports media a viable source of news?" I went through a huge process of measuring bias words in various media outlets. I got hung up when I had to specifically define what news was. Then life got in the way.

And yes, I'm Irish, and we're a proud people...but if we have to get scrappy, we can get scrappy. ;)
