Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

I just don’t think MCDaniel would utilize him as much as some people on here believe he would.

This team is a pass first offense and centered around Tua and the receivers. The RB’s they have now fit this offense fine.

Taylor hasn’t played at all since last season. He had ankle surgery in the off season and spent all training camp and now the first 4 games this season on PUP. If he was fully healthy and was coming off a great season I could understand trading for him.

Yet there is no way of knowing how long it would take him to learn the offense and get into playing shape. I think it would be ridiculous to , “rent” him for a year and give up a second round pick. If it was only for the remaining games this season after he comes off PUP, I wouldn’t offer more than a 6th round pick for him.
I suppose I agree after thinking on it, a 2nd may be too rich, but the thought of Taylor in this offense for a Championship run is mind boggling.

Do u know of a team shopping players like that? We had that chance last year with Smith and passed stupidly.

I don’t know how anyone could be opposed to adding the top RB in the league if it’s at a good price.
How many times have Fin fans said over the years, “What if Marino would’ve had a top RB alongside him?” Taylor would make EVERY part of this offense better.
No I don’t and I agree that Smith would have been a better trade than Chubb. While I agree a fully healthy Taylor would be a big upgrade at RB. I just question how healthy he is after off season ankle surgery.

I have stated that they will likely have to wait until the off season to hopefully upgrade the defense but I’m just not as sold on Taylor as some posters on here are because of his ankle surgery and the fact he hasn’t played a down since December 2022.

Obviously this is just my opinion but as a Dolphin fan, I will have no problem rooting for him if the Dolphins do trade for him.

Seeing reports that after week 4 trade talks with Taylor will pick back up and that the Colts will be more realistic in their expectations.

I'm sorry, but if we can add maybe the best RB in the league at a good price to this passing game this offense would be absolutely ridiculous. And there may be games due to weather or whatever where we may need to rely on the running game to pull out a win. I'd hate to see him go to another AFC contender like Baltimore or Buffalo.
I doubt they get more than a 3rd round pick.

They don't want to pay him so there is little leverage....

True, but I’m sure there would be a very thorough medical exam before any trade went through.

Baltimore will go get Taylor now that Dobbins is out for the year.
Depends where they are after Week 4. They suffered many injuries yesterday and may not feel like a move for Taylor is worth it this year. We'll see...

I just think Balt is the most logical choice for a trade. Ravens like to run and it’s not like they want their QB having to carry the load on the ground (that might not be a bad thing tho). They need a RB.

Baltimore doesn't have cap space to get him currently. Only gets worse year by year with Lamar as well.

Why would the Jets get Dalvin Cook when Breece hall is ready to go and healthy? Does it make any sense?

Watching the game it made perfect sense to me. They have a great defense and two really good RB’s. Rodgers or not they are going to be a problem

I no longer live in PA.

I cannot believe you're still arguing this point. It's an F-150. It gets 20 miles to the gallon.

What depreciation value would you designate on a 10 year-old truck per mile? This is entirely up to you, and since you threw this in there to try and prove that I'm not actually saving money, I'd like to know.

Haha.

Please learn to read and explore the suggestions. You can also easily calculate a breakeven point and think hmm. Is driving an old big truck worth x cents a mile???

Yes, you are probably not saving money. It's funny how you think you are. Funny how you made it sound like a now brainer decision. Not everbody has a F150 that get 20 mpg. Also funny that I can buy a keyboard for the money you think you are saving, but you are worried about keyboards. You focus on some really weird things.

And their pass pro sucks…which is why Rodgers got hurt….run and play defense….safe limited passing game….

The scary part was our run defense was terrible week one. That opens it up to struggle againdt this jets team. They have got to tighten up or we’ll be asking tua to do the impossible.
