Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

Outside of dolphin homer fans there is no one in this world that thinks a trio of Hill, Waddle, and Taylor is better than the greatest show on turf trio.
I think our WR are better, but Faulk was better than Taylor, and no one here seems to want to include the most important part, which we also lose.

LMFAOOOOOOO!!! AT ALL THESE TWITTER FOLKS. Their all fighting over who's got the better sources regarding the potential Johnathan Taylor trade.

One guy actually said Miami's medical staff was in Indianapolis conducting a medical evaluation. When Taylor is actually in Philly with the Colts.

Unbelievable BS that's out there.

Wonder if he'll even leave Philly.

Well Hill is better than Holt and Bruce were.

Faulk's never approached Taylor's rushing output and until he went to the Rams, he was a 4.0 YPC guy. His receiving prowess was off the charts though.

You want to tell me that Taylor had a tough 3rd season, fine, Marshall Faulk averaged 3.0 YPC his third year, after his 3.7 YPC sophomore year.

If you want to tell me Torry Holt is that much better than Jaylen Waddle, so be it but I definitely think Waddle is as special as Holt was, coincidentally both were the 6th pick in the draft.

You want to put Jaylen Waddle on that greatest show on turf team and he's scoring 20 TD's. It wasn't just the skill guys they had, Orlando Pace and Fred Miller were a dynamite OT tandem with Pace being arguably the best OT in the last 30 years to set foot on a field, or at least be in the conversation. Faulk had his most productive season in his first with the Rams, only then did he rival what Taylor has been able to do.

Its not unreasonable to project Waddle's greatness. He's generational himself. You'll struggle to find another human being alive who averaged 43 yards per TD in college, unless its someone with less than 4 TD's.

You'll struggle to find another human being alive who averaged 2058 rushing yards in their college career, for 3 years, because there isn't one. He came 100 yards short of eclipsing Ricky Williams 4 year record setting career rushing total.

I am a homer, a really good one, also a pretty good football historian.
I don't think anyone in the game today approaches Faulk in terms of all around talent. I actually give the edge to our two receivers.

The "X factor" here, aside from Warner, is Mike Martz. For all his faults, he had a cutting-edge offense for the day. Does McD? Remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful.

I see your source and raise you a source and a rumor!

For real, man. It's unbearable. No one knows **** and I still HIGHLY doubt any of this "we're front runners" stuff is true. The guy will cost way too much for Grier's liking, not to mention the draft picks he'd have to give up. It's not in Grier's DNA to make a trade like this for a RB and we should all know this by now....

I hear ya but those rushing numbers are pretty pedestrian through 5 seasons with Indy. They weren’t a bad team until 98/99 so pretty similar back drop to Taylor’s Colts.

No doubt he was an elite receiver out of backfield but you can’t overlook numbers like 3.7 and 3.0 YPC when someone is suggesting that Taylor’s remarkable college and pro career aren’t worthy of comparison.

It’s certainly a different game then it was in the 80’S and 90’s where rushing the ball and stopping the run we’re more integral parts of team success.
