There is no question about Johnathan Taylor's talent and what he'd bring to Miami. Unfortunately as devalued as the RB position seems to be, the Colts appearently think otherwise. They seem like they'll take this into the season, bluffing Johnathan Taylor himself. He'll be back to gain his eligibility for the season, then they'll franchise him, in the offseason. In short he loses, because he isn't traded, or getting his desired contract. Either way the Colts are in the driver's seat. Especially with a hard nosed owner like Irsay, calling the shots.
Unless Grier blinks, this deal isn't getting done. Say what you want about Irsay, the guy just isn't going to budge.
