Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

I don't think I can ever hear the song Rico suave again without throwing up.

Let's try to stop feeding the troll.

Can we get 1500 post and 200 pages, for $300 Alex?

Cory Dillon says sup.
Dillon signed a 2 year 5.25 million dollar deal with NE in 2004.He then got a raise to an average of 3.5 million in 2006 but only played one year under the new deal.

He was the 21st highest paid RB in 2005-06.

The top 10 QB's were between 10 and 7.5 million per.

I expect this team to run considerably more whether we get JT or not.
I'd hope so but last year we fell in love with going deep....also fell behind often so we had to throw it but yes, I want more balance

Josh Jacobs just signed a 1 yr 12 MM contract.

That's the new floor.

That is correct. IMO, Taylor would be a 1200-yard back in this offense, that alone is not worth $12 million a year. The threat of having a player like him in the backfield forcing defenses to have to play differently, thus opening up more opportunity for Tua, Hill, and Waddle, ALONG with him being a 1200-yard back, would be worth 12 million a year.

Additionally, having a player like Taylor would be invaluable in a playoff game in the cold at Buffalo, Cinci, or KC.
Boom, nailed it!

Now post the one with the highest paid RB on each team, or even the leading rusher for the whole season. (Not just the SB)

I get the point and it's partially valid but it's misleading.

This has been pointed out repeatedly. And using it raises a completely false flag.

The narrative being pushed is no longer ā€œyou don’t have to have a high-salaried RB to win a Super Bowlā€

What’s being pushed is ā€œYou CAN’T pay a lot for a RB and win a SB.ā€ And that’s bullshit.

I hope the sign Taylor. I get a little concerned if he’s presently not totally healthy after injury and offseason so obviously if something the medical staff says this could be ongoing that’s a different story. But if medical team says he’s good then it really doesn’t overly come down to compensation within reason. Obviously we want to give less but my point is this team is loaded…..it comes down to managing the cap. Can we have a 2 year run and then cut a Howard, Chubb, etc and still be in the mix. I think it’s possible but challenging. In this sport people focus on championships. This is your chance. Go for it. If it doesn’t work, you reset and try again. Is it really about winning a playoff game and being competitive…..not for driven winners

The way I look at this situation is as follows:

If we can pull JT from Indy for a 2nd and a 7th, great move. Pay him what he’s worth and we have a deadly offense in ā€˜23.

If we can’t get him for that. Move on. The time to have acquired JT was when we used the stupid ****ing pick on Iggy. That time is now gone.

Roll with what we have and let’s see how far we go.
