Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

Not exactly. Anyone with an interwebz connection can easily look into the context of historical claims made if they care to.

I certainly didn't pull the stats off the top of my head, but I did remember the overall context of the situation quite differently, and was curious.
Interwebz, sounds kinda gas monkeyish to me. Are you him? Lol

Me, personally no with regards to relevance.

But I am not the one making the claim.

I also believe it's irrelevant to look At team set ups over the years and try to correlate that into what wins Chamionships.

I can argue having 2 elite WRS doesn't win you a championship.
I can argue having a top o line doesn't win championships
I can argue you can win a SB with an average QB

The only thing we know that was consistent was having a top defense, HOF QB and a top O line created a dynasty in NE.

At the end of the day, the only thing I know for sure, is adding a player that makes the team better, or upgrading a position makes this team MORE likely to compete for a SB

Doesn't matter what position that is.
You may be able to argue those things on a single case example basis, but not as a consistent argument in a larger sample size.

Also, the position does matter. It matters even more when cost is also part of the equation.

As an exaggerated example, does a better punter make you a better team overall? Sure, but I don't think anyone would suggest paying a punter 8mil per, as the added value/cost is simply not there. It's too much of a blanket statement. Now, I'm not saying RB are equivalent to punters but you get the idea. When we were discussing Cook, opinions varied on what would be a "value" contract. There is no right or wrong answer without benefit of a crystal ball, but to say any upgrade is worth any price is oversimplifying.

As far as those who don't care what happens beyond this season are too short sighted, IMO. Load up for a one season run, and damn the torpedoes? I disagree with that strategy, as odds are against winning a championship in any one given year. If something goes wrong, then what? I would rather have multiple shots at it, but that's just me.

I have no idea what that even means. Are you implying I pump fuel at a gas station? Because that job hasn't existed for a few decades.

Agree completely.

There is no set recipe for winning a championship. Great teams win championships regardless of where the money is spent getting them to that level. Jonathan Taylor makes us a better team this year, thus improving our odds to win a Super Bowl. That should be the only goal of this team, win the Super Bowl this year.

If we can actually obtain a player of his caliber for future picks, it's a no brainer to make the move.

He was making vague reference to the TV show Gas Monkey Garage, where the main guy used the phrase "interwebs" whenever referring to the Internet.

Never heard of it. Was it popular/good?

The title was actually “Fast and Loud”. It was a reality show about a hot rod shop. The business it was set in was called Gas Monkey Garage. And being a “car guy”, I loved it

Yeah, I forgot about that archaic situation.

What, exactly, is the rationale behind that anyway?
They did IQ test back in the day and determined it was much safer to keep flammable liquids out of majority of residents hands💥

Maybe they are planning on keeping Taylor, maybe they looking for some team to offer a RB in a high priced trade.
Don’t know what to think.

I liked what I seen of our reserve RBs in preseason, and would be okay if we didn’t get JT, but I would roster 5 RBs (since at least 1 of them is always dinged up!)
