Colts release LB Jackson

I don't know about how he would fit in our defensive scheme but he could be a good veteran leader for the locker room. Probably not much more than that.

Tackling machine, durability issues but at a reasonable price he would be great to pair with Kiko. Add a young MLB in the draft and we would be set at the position for years to come.

This guy is in his 30's so you know how the board feels about guys over 30. I don't know much about the guy but he made a headline on ESPN. How is he against the run and in coverage?

I don't know about years to come but he'd be a cheap 1yr fix or two....still draft a LB but now you wouldn't need to draft two this year

I would say pass on him. There are others available that are younger and more productive. His tackles in the last two seasons went from 140 for 16 games to 78 last year in 12 contests. Gotta be someone else available - plus, we have plenty of vets to mentor in the locker room.

Team doesn't need a cheap 1 year fix. They need guys with speed that are young and will be around a while.

My thought is that this adds the colts to the LB market that much more than they already were

D'Qwell Jackson - LB - Free Agent

Colts released ILB D'Qwell Jackson.
The move creates $5.5 million in cap space, and was fully expected after the declining Jackson missed the final four games of 2016 serving a PED suspension. Jackson was a durable, every-down player his three years in Indy, but routinely served up sub-replacement performance. Going on 34, he's likely to struggle for guaranteed money on the open market.

Washed up

Colts were already on the lb list after they let their best one get away to chicago now they on it even more although something tells me that o line gets first dibs with the new gm

We could totally use Dqwell for a season. He would be like an Arian Foster signing.

 retire week 4

No doubt

Colts have so many needs...on d they literally need every level and the oline is still a mess

Durability issues? Heck sign him then. We can add him to all the other injury prone guys who dot our roster.

Hes done fellas...the only thing wed do is bitch about how bad the lb play is if we signed him and they didnt invest in a legitimate other option
