come back player of the year

I think Chad Pennington and Ricky Williams both have a great shot at it. Chad more than Ricky right now. That being said they will probably give it to Brett Favre because of the man crush on him and give some bull about how he retired, came back, what a good decision it was, and that he had to go through adversity to do it. I could totally see that happening.

On a side note I love that sig at the begining of the thread. I was hoping everyone caught those stupid fans. It was on the TV for a while to. They only have 4 letters, and they managed to mess that up!!

tom brady will win espn has to find a way to talk about him some how.

Joey Porter for sure..... If he breaks 10+ sacks this season

the more I think about it the more it becomes difficult to choose. Their are alot of players that could be eligible for it but my heart says ronnie due to the acl is a pretty rough injury to come back so quickly from

I would have to say Ronnie if he can make it through a full season. Splitting the backfield with Ricky definately ups his chances of staying healthy.

Why Pennington? The CBPOTY award typically goes to someone who was down and out and came from nowhere to take the league by storm...Ronnie's injury and potentially Joey Porter

who would you choose out of the rest of the league?

The NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award has been given out after every season since 1972 (except for 1985). The player named Comeback Player of the Year shows perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance. Garrison Hearst is the only player to have won the award twice (1995 and 2001).

I dont think ronnie should get it because of how well he was playing before he got hurt last year, and because everyone expected him to pretty much be fully rehabilitated and have another good year... IMO Ricky deserves because of how long he has been out of the nfl, and not many expected him to have a good year until preseason...Plus it will make the best story :)
