I'm so tired of the Manning saga. I think its silly that everyone is jumping over each other to just talk to the guy. I know its Payton Manning and all but come on. Now there's a rumor that he wants 21 million a season!!! I wonder if anyone has stopped to think "Is this going to be the 2010 Payton Manning or will it something different?"

I say let him go to Denver (if he fails, at least they have proven they can win without a QB) and us go after Flynn, Tanny, Weeden, Wilson, Cousins, or, lets just roll with Moore and see what happens. I think if we get Payton we will pretty much be done until the draft and it will harm us in the long run.
 
$21 million??? Who cares....it's not my wallet. Ross can afford it. :chuckle:
 
Speculating on speculation..we will know soon enough.

if you think flynn is going to sign for 6-8 mil a year your dead wrong NFLN said that flynn will get atleast up in the double digits a year 10-12 mil a year maybe a little more so if you think 6-8 mil will do it forget it.

Its not the fact of just money and yes Ross has the money, its the cap that matters. You sign Manning to 21 mil that's it no one else can be signed to help the team. Now if Manning plays like he did in 2010 not a big deal. But if he is not that guy where he can carry a team without a lot of help then we are screwed. What if he plays like a middle of the road 10 mil a year QB, then Mia is stuck in the middle for another 3 years before a lot can be done.
 
I think Manning is putting that figure out there to see who will drop out of the race, or maybe he's doing it so a particular team may take themselves out of contention rather than Manning having to come out and eliminate someone. This whole situation has gotten flat out ridiculous
