Listen im sick and tired of these people saying oh we need a wr or qb listen we need Offensive line, WR can come in the 7th round example Colston from new orleans and Qb's we are set.

yeah 7th rd ok and has that even happened before? a guy playing as well as colston 10 picks away from being undrafted? you should know our franchise is never that lucky. sorry dude we need a wr and qb and ol is that better??? we need all 3 but look at it this way the qb you have effects how your line blocks since daunte is slow and holds the ball cause he doesnt want hurt his qb rating the line is forced to block more and longer each play thus tiring them down come the 4th quarter when we need to run but they cant knock anyone off the block cause they have to buy time for daunte every time he drops back. and thats probably the majority of the reason the running game sucked so much when daunte was qb he isnt a good qb mentally

It is true that Daunte holds onto the ball longer than Joey. Joey's game is quick short passes, which suits at the moment. But long term Daunte is our future. If we are to go downfield long term then Joey isn't the answer, he just isn't accurate enough.

On the O line I feel we are still desperate for a LT more than any other position. You say our running game sucked early on because of Daunte's inability to get rid of the ball quickly, but I disagree. It wasn't until we shored up the right side of the line by moving Shelton, that we actually had any success. I would also like to see us get a decent center. Hadnot has done great there for us, but I still think he would do better at guard.

Because 7th round WR like Colston work out so often. Why do people always focus on the one exception instead of what usually happens?

People talking about taking a WR or QB do so because they believe taking the best player available when you pick is the best strategy. And if a cant miss talent at WR is available and it's take him or a olineman with some question marks, id take the WR. Besides, I dont think the argument could be made that our WR and QB positions are completely settled.

It depeds on what we do with that $21 mill in FA.

It also depends on who is available too shag. LT's dont exactly jump out of a tree at ya. We are not far short of a great team here in Miami. Granted the D is aging, but we may have a couple of years left in most of them, Zach and JT included. How we use the draft, FA and Cap wisely, will determine where this team is going in the future. A LT, CTR, OLB, and a CB isn't asking too much is it?

where we will end up picking...i don't see a LT worth selecting in the 1st round. Joe Thomas and Baker will probably be gone if we end up picking 16-20.

honestly i say we take best play available and i have heard some rumors that brady quinn will experience a drop in the draft like lienart did so that might be nice say we draft like 12-17 range maybe trade up a few picks to draft quinn or who knows

You take best player available according to need, and face it...pretty much all our positions are of need (with the exception of RB).

If there's a talented player, someone who can come in and help your team, then you got to take him, regardless of position.

To say that WR and QB on our team is not a need, is inaccurate. From what I've seen, Joey is a mediocre player, and an injured Daunte holds on to the ball too long. It is unknown what the healthy Daunte will do though. Our most consistent WR is Wes Welker, who is currently our 3rd WR, so it seems to me that WR is a need.

Actually there's a solid need for a backup running back also. This isn't a league where you can get away with one runner much anymore, but that's definately a day 2 pick.

I think its time to get off the fictitious tall tales and into reality by now. When one grows up...fantasy should be let go.

DC is our QB. I recorded every game this year. And I've gone back and watched them when bored and can tell you that DC's problem wasn't holding on to the ball too long.

His problem was and Saban has already explained it... "not being mobile enough to avoid the sack."

Earlier this year our problem was OLINE. I personally watched the games and counted the seconds that it took DC to either throw the ball or get sacked. Sometimes 2 seconds sometimes 3 seconds. It was only once that I counted 4 seconds...and it was a completion. Hello???

Culpepper is a big difference from Harrington. This is why Saban hasn't hesitated in telling the media who his QB is: DC!

We need to watch the games before commenting. DC is our QB.

Now I totally agree that WR corps needs to be tweeked. Or "OVERHAULED".

we have ricky williams for 2 more years. we can get by with morris, minor, a cheap free agent, a 7th round pick, or an undrafted free agent for the next 2 years. we have other needs to take care than worry about a luxury we can take care of in 2009 draft. Hello???
