I know it's not likely, but I'd really like to see Ricky Williams win the award. He's been awesome this season! He was suspended for the 1st games too. Imagine what his numbers would be like had he not been forced to sit out the first games. We could've had TWO RBs close to 1000 yards! The award will probably go to Bruschi, though, for his comeback after the neck injury.

Since RIcky "retired" on his own power and wasn't injured nor did anything out of his control force him out, I doubt there is any possible way he wins Comeback Player of the Year. But stranger things have happened, like Wanny getting another head coaching job. Who'd have thunk it.

Yeah....strange things do happen. I mean the Jills DID beat the Bengals today.

Sheesh, Brad Johnson.

you cant reward Ricky for quitting like that. It is not like he is Robert Edwards or something.

Was it Robert Edwards who almost lost his leg and then scored a few TD's for the fins?

Bruschi cant win it because he didnt miss a season.

He played in the superbowl and missed 5 games or whatever, thats not a "comeback"

there are no set rules for the comeback award. he'll win it

I started a thread on this the other day, and proposed Schulters could be considered.....but I forgot about Steve Smith.....he should win the award easily IMO.

2004 - 6 rec. 60 yds, 0 td
2005 - 93 rec, 1414, 11td

If that doesn't win the award.....I don't know why it exsists.

I would have to agree that Smith is as deserving as anyone. He had a pretty bad injury last year and it was not known at the time if he could regain all his speed and quickness.

As much as i hate him and his team Bruschi is the Winner for sure...The man had a stroke and came back to the most toughest sport.. Gotta give credit.. takes a lot of heart and courage
