Watched the Steeler/ Cards game last night and ESPN broke in 3-4 times to tell us what "King Brady" was doing with their game against the eagles. ESPN are such Homers. I'm SO glad Vick signed last night to take away some of the "Brady thunder" I took a closer look on the clips from NFL.com he does not look the same as he did in 2007. Under threw a few passes seemed a bit timid to me.

For NE's sake Brady better stay healthy you have no depth once you shipped off Cassell to KC.

Looked to me like he was half asleep out there throwing touchdown passes...

Oh he's still accurate just no zip on his passes, plus the eagles defense had no pressure on him at all, so he had all day to throw. Reason he was still alseep.

i noticed the same thing but i wasn't sure if it was just an illusion... i guess not, tom really had less zip yesterday, his long throws were floating out there

other than that he was doing okay

Brady was rusty. The 3 or 4 throws he threw behind the wrs were signs of that. The INT was because he didn't step up. The rush was in his face though so I don't know if he could have stepped up enough to make a difference.

His first bomb to Moss was right on target 56yds downfield. The slant to Moss was a thing of beauty, good for 35yds, thrown on a string between two defenders. To me, it looks like he'll be even better than ever with a couple more preseason games under his belt.

No depth? They sign Walter off the street and threw him in last night, after a week with the team. Looked like he had been with the team for years. Imagine how much better he'll be when he learns some of the playbook? Never mind that he has plenty of experience with Moss from their days in Oakland.

No zip? I must have watched a different game.

His INT was floated, but I think that was the intent, he just threw it short. I think his problem on most of the misses was he was throwing it too hard. Galloway couldn't catch any of them, but none of the guys used to him had any problem with it.

The 2 td passes to Baker had plenty of zip on them. He is definitely going to have to work on his long ball some more, but that is what preseason is for.

There was no zip, and there wasnt a defender within 5 yards of Baker even though it was a 5 yd pass. AND BAKER STILL HAD TO DIVE

he played better than i would have liked - although he was shaking off some cobwebs. the eagles looked pretty awful in coverage.

Brady was standing on the 15yd line, waiting for Baker to come free in the back of the ez (in other words, a pass that traveled 25yds, not 4yds), and threw it where only baker could catch it. Smart throw that brady has made 100's of times in the past.

And, sorry, you're wrong. The ball had plenty of ZIP.

Timid? No zip? Seriously? Are you guys okay?

Yeah, the one bomb that he didn't step into had too much air and got picked. He dropped a 56 yarder into Moss' lap and dropped another 35 yarder between short and deep coverage, which was a thing of beauty. It certainly wasn't perfect, but for a guy who hasn't been on the field in a year, it seemed just fine to me.

Objectivity: It's not for everyone, I guess.
