Guys, got any suggestions for Hotels on the Beach in Fort Lauderdale or Miami? Trying to put something together for next season.

Hard Rock is not on the beach. If you are going to Fort Lauderdale the W is hard to beat. Miami has plenty of choices. The Fountainbleu has a crazy pool that is always a full blown party. Also check out The Delano, or The Sagamore Hotel in Miami on the beach. If you want beach hotels these are great, lots of fun and party and lots of hot women...but bring your wallet.

Weston in Lauderdale (Hallandale) is where it's at for sure.

Not sure if you're willing to open up the wallet like that but you can get a decent rate at the Weston from priceline.com

What's your budget like? You looking to fly or drive?

if you want to be close to the staduim i suggest staying in ft lauderdale at the embasy suites. great price per night they sell phins tix there and is a close bus/car ride to sun life staduim

i go down there once a year. and i stay in orlando now. its a drive but we have alot more fun. we stayed in Ft. L one year and miami the next and wasnt impressed. just not much to do unless you plan on clubing the whole time. so now we make universal and disney world apart of our dolphin game trips.
but if you are going for one day and the game stay in fort L at the hard rock or something

I'm also looking at going to a home game in Miami next season and will keep this in mind. Good info, thanks. I've never been to a Dolphins home game before, and still not positive I can make it because I have some other trips lined up and need the vacation time, but hopefully it works out

Went to a game this year and learned alot about the bus system and hotels on the beach. We stayed north in Sunny Isles and got a bus from the Aventura mall straight to the stadium. We took the bus everywhere to save on the car rental and parking. It was my first home game so the anticipation was awesome. Let me know if you need help with bus schedules.

We always enjoy staying at the hotels on the beach in the las Olas area in ft lauderdale.....nothing like swimming in the ocean before a Sunday night game!!!!

The one off 17th street Causeway?

Man that is far from the stadium, and forget taking the bus, that is a 2 hour and change mission. Driving is easier, considering it is probably around 20 miles or so and you are looking at atleast 10 anywhere from the beach (though technically this is about 2 miles from the beach also). It is a great hotel, ideal for cruise departures. I actually get cheap $35 priceline rates at the Hyatt right behind it all the time for my mini getaways . . . ****ty breakfast and pool compared to the Embassy but the rooms come with microwave and fridge and have alot of high tech options.

This question is impossible because we need to know is the wife coming? single? age group? are you a clubber? kids? money? rental car? etc?

Sounds like a lot, but if you aren't a partier, you could find yourself overspending big time getting something on South Beach. Las Olas is less expensive but not as wild as South Beach. Still good times can be had, especially on a Friday Night. Capones 3 for 1 drink specials. Head on east to the beach over at BeachPlace you got Fat Tuesdays and a bunch of little spots.

JCane hit the nail on the head with the Westin in Hallandale, that thing can be a party scene . . . nice azz hotel also, right on the water. I have seen $75 priceline rates on it before and you are real close to the Aventura mall and much more accessible to Public Transportaton to get you to the stadium.

Hard Rock isn't on the beach but it is very central and literally a 10 minute drive to the stadium on the Turnpike. Hell it is 15 minutes from everywhere (except South Beach . . . closer to 25 minutes) and they have a full casino, 6 clubs, restaurants . . . man everything, hell you can head west on Griffin and ride on the airboats and see the Gators if you want

This must be the El Palacio over looking Calder? I never forget when I was younger and it was the Holiday Inn my pops took me and my mom there for breakfast before hitting Calder for some races, and the breakfast was like $28 and my pops gave the guy a $50 and he never returned and when my pops asked him he thought that tip was for him . . . yea a 80% tip for a holiday inn breakfast  . . . yea nowadays you can leave there with an ounce and get laid for about 60 bucks if you know the right people :hump:. . . might get stabbed or shot to top it off.

when i come in for a game each year, i stay at the hard rock and i love it. it has everything.

1. very nice pool area/ bar
2. full casino
3. clubs
4. shopping stores ( for the wife/ girlfriend if bringing one)
and everything else. you wont be bored their.

also, as people have mentioned, its very close to the stadium, like 10-15 minutes without traffic.

i will say though, whatever you do, do not drive to the stadium. it is a lot easier imo to either get a car service, or get a cab, because aside from the fact that parking is not so easy to find, getting out of the stadium is hell.

when i went to the jet game 2 years ago on sunday night, i was literally sitting in my car in the parking lot for an hour and a half without the car moving a drop. your better off taking a car service.

Depending on which game . . . that was a primetime Jets game . . . he may be ok with a 1 p.m. Seahawks game (or something like that) . . . well there will still be traffic but it shouldn't be 1.5 hours. I always drive but that is because I'm tailgating, it is always under 30 minutes for me to get in my car to the Turnpike North.

But yea you hit it on the head with the Hard Rock's perks, and truthfully it is reasonable in price.

Maybe the next time the Phins build a stadium it will be near places where there are hotels and not out in BFE. I am sure it was built there so the fans had no choice but to pony up ridiculous money just to park their cars. They should have just left it where the Orange Bowl/new Marlin's stadium is at.....or put it in a nice area....closer to South Beach.
