Coming up on NFL Network:shefter reports Jets/Dolphins who got better deal at QB

He just said the Pennington vs Farve matchup's in past:CP has edge: 2 wins 0 losses

Farve-27

Also states obvious that he thinks CP will start vs Jets
 
There isn't one rational person on the planet that believes Pennington is better for Miami then Favre is for the Jets.
 
Brett Favre will help the Jets but lets face it. The man is 39 and doesnt know that system at all. I think 2 years from now, people will see that Pennington had a bigger impact on Miami then Favre did on Jets.

Well yea.

But in terms of a deal, I believe we won. The Jets are going to pay a pick to upgrade from Pennington to Favre. We pay nothing to upgrade from McCown to Pennington.

Exactly. People seem to keep forgetting this point.
 
Farve won't be the same for the Jets as he was for the Packers. Chad will do more for the Fins. We got the better deal.
 
Favre will prove to be a disappointment this year: last year's success was an anomaly: 1 good year out of the last 3. It was the only off season that he undertook months of organized workouts with a trainer sent down to MS..and that includes this off season. His age and obvious lack of enthusiasm will take its toll once the novelty wears off. He will disproportionately add on to his career Turnover Machine record more than to his "Most TDs By Virtue Of Longevity" record. The Jets are in for a rude awakening IMO. At least with CP we know what we're getting, there are no unrealistic expectations or illusions about surprising new upsides emerging.
 
We definitely got the better deal, with Pennington they had a very accurate noodlearm smart effective QB, with Farve they have a 39 Yr old gunslinger don't know if I'm gonna play next year turnover machine.:D
 
i love te fact that many of the Jets players hold Pennington with such high regard. respect his leadership qualities, and he's enthusiasm and competitive spirit.

yea.. we won this deal.

I disagree 100%, I'll trade any pick for a HOFer and SB level QB.
