This comment made me think

"wat do u think this loss means to the pats. will they come back harder next year? will seau retire? bruschi? rodney? faulk? wat about moss and stalllworth? will they now try to say get rid of stallworth [not resign him] and washington and try to make a run at chad johnson? they should get a cb definitly. and some young lbs. this could be the end of a dynasty now that i think about it"

This really could be the begining of the end of this Patriots dynasty. Im not saying there going to suck from now on, but I dont think they will be this dominant team we all looked at them as. The rise of the dolphins....:woot:

I hope so, but dont start underestimating them. They still have brady who made Welker look like a freak of nature all year

Hate to say it, but as long as they have Brady, they will compete. That said, losing Seau, Bruschi, Harrison and Samuel would be a huge blow to that defense. Not to mention potentially not resigning Moss, and letting go of Stallworth. When you look at many of their moves last offseason, with the exception of Adalius and Wes, they were predominantly 'one year deals', as they had options in all of the contracts they offered to cut them easily after 2008. This may have been one last effort to get a ring before they lose some of the vets on D. Just a thought.

The Pats still have a lot of very talented youth and the number seven pick in the draft. Brady still has a lot of years left in him as well. I think they'll be good for a long time.

As we asked it this the end of camelot. I do not think so .

05 - did not make it to the afc championship lost in wildcard round
06- did not make it to the SB lost afc championship
07 - lost in SB

36 million under the cap for 08

I don't see the Pats falling out of sight any time soon. That team is just way too good and the coaching staff has a knack of getting the best out of the players they have.

Celt unfortunately I think you are right. :boohoo:

I don't think this game will have an impact. But you have to wait what happens with the 'other story'. If the truth comes out and the NFL is forced (otherwise they wouldn't do it, as seen) to punish their cash cow, then they will go down. It's a big if and they will probably find a way to avoid the biggest scandal in the history of the league, but if it happens, it's over.

As mentioned the senators 2 biggest contributers are Comcast and the legal firm representing the comcast and other cable TV against NFL this is more to do with NFL then this issue.

they will be back reloaded, unless the Senators inquiry finds something evil.. and then I think BB is out forever.. the NFL cannot afford to put their antitrust status in any kind of jeopardy.

This loss changes everything.. no matter what their record is from here on out, they will always be known as "choke of the century" hahahaha

Moss is more than likely going to take a big contract somewhere else. Their defense needs to be retooled. They will contend next year, but they won't win 16 in the regular season again.
