good read, and all very true... though i dont see how getting charles rogers would be a problem over cliff russell... with the minimal playing time russell would get, it wouldn't be earth shattereing to our team if rogers didn't work out... and we dont need him to be a superstar like detroit did, we would just need a solid 3/4 reciever out of him and that would be huge for us...
 
do you all think there is a relative lack of buzz around the beginning of football season? This was a topic on the radio a few days ago, and I agree that there is not as much hoopla over the team as in years past. Is this because of the championship of the Heat or the recent success of the Marlins? Hurricane season bearing down on us (both of them, actually)? An ignorance around the general public that the Dolphins are much improved? Or am I just missing the excitement?

No, I feel as strong a Dolphin buzz as ever, and I certainly don't think the Heat or Marlins recent success in two less popular sports has any effect whatsoever on the Dolphins.

If anything, possibly some fans are hesitant to buy into the hype after being disapointed so many years in a row.
 
After years of disappointments its only natural for fans to have a wait and see attitude.

However I detect high expectations and that can rapidly translate into fervor as results are achieved.

I agree. Also the media will never get a story from the other coaches or players because of Nicks media policy. So I think not many come over even looking for stories they know they'll never get.
