Commentary: Draft Order Analysis

i sure hope we go D with our 1st pick, only if a QB somehow slips i would be happy with offense

i haven´t seen many UF games, can anyone describe jackson´s strengths and weaknesses ?

and to which player would you compare him in the NFL ?

I tend to disagree that Cutler will fall to the 2nd round even if Young and Quinn declare (I think Young may if he wins the bowl game, Quinn I highly doubt). If he does fall I doubt it will be as far as the Dolphins. There are plenty of teams ahead of us that could grab a QB in the 1st or 2nd round. Examples are: Ravens, Lions, Cards, Saints, Jets, Raiders...just to name some. Not only that but there are plenty of teams who could use a good young backup QB that have the power (extra draft picks) to move up and take Cutler. Cutler is this years JP Losman, Patrick Ramsey, Joey Harrington.

I dissagree with the Eagles taking a rb, the Browns taking Haloti Ngata makes a lot of sense though.

nice but disagree bout cutler in rd 2. I think if there is no cutler on the baord, we WILL be in trouble as their wont be any more qb's to go after other hten pinegar shockley and such but not my wants honestly. i'd love landry, bing, cutler, in rd 1 or even ryans.

I dont think Cutler will be available in the 2nd round. If he is, thats a miracle.

Also couldnt help but noticing the Jets take Leinart. So they have Pennington under a 64 million contract until 2011 and they draft Leinart, and give him what, a 30 million contract?

The Jets would have almost 100 million tied up in QBs til 2011. I dont think so.

I don't think it is very accurate. Cutler will be gone in the first and Colledge will be gone in the 2nd.

btw i doubt whitworth woudl be there in rd 2 from what i hear.

I'm not a big fan of drafting a WR with our first rounder or Marcedes Lewis, despite that he does go to UCLA like me. There is absolutely no need for TE as McMike and Diamond are good enough. Yes, our position is pretty much in the middle but I'd like to see if Saban can possibly trade up like what NYG did. I doubt anyone there is wishing they didn't trade for Manning. Plus, I wouldn't like to see the Jets get their future franchise QB before we could get to. I'm not sold on Young or Cutler but we'll see later in the workouts and the USC-Texas game.

he's falling badly. He will be a 2rd pick.

Since the Jets have one of the top draft choices and could be in a position to take either Leinart or Bush, it would be interesting to know their cap situation? I know earlier this year there was talk in the media about how bad their cap situation was and that it was so bad they couldn't sign players they needed to bring in to replace injured players. Supposedly thats why they brought Testaverde out of retirement because they couldn't afford anyone else. Now there is even talk in the media that Curtis Martin might be through. Just my curiosity since they and the Bills are in our division and both will probably be picking ahead of us in the draft.

since it looks like we are going to be drafting between about 12-16 or so I think that would probably be an appropriate pick to take Cutler at w/o trying to trade down if his stock is really rising as high as some are saying.

Sorry, but I'm a current student at UF. Taking Chad Jackson with the 14th pick, yet alone first round would be ******ed. YES, removed. Once you wrote that, well I decided that you obviously dont know what your talking about. Chad Jackson has dropped numerous balls going down the middle, and goes invisible in big games, ala at Alabama when he dropped like 4, and at LSU.

Mod Edit: The word filter is there for a reason. Don't circumvent it.
