Forget about Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers . Expect to see Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Daunte Culpepper go full speed later this week. Mega-agent, turned local television analyst, Drew Rosenhaus made that proclamation over the weekend, and as audacious as it might sound to some, I agree with him.

Does anyone know what cause Drew to make this pronouncement? I expect the medical staff and Saban, if no more than just caution to keep DC from going full speed until neccessary. I expect they will allow him to do more as TC progress..but here's the read, what do you guys think.

The best testament to Daunte Culpepper's readiness came from head coach Nick Saban, who described his signal-caller's recovery as a "miracle".
Did Saban say this?

That doesn't sound like Saban. Saban would say something more like:
"He's day-to-day and we're going to continue giving him the reps we feel will benefit both his health and the team. From a medical standpoint, he's recovering on time and we're going to do what's best relative to us winning a super bowl.
Brook trout Debbie cakes relative standpoint in position for success."

all i know is DC is the man and is going to take us to the promise land if not this year soon!

Great news. As long as Cpep doesn't push it too hard, he'll be in great shape once the pre-season starts. He has made an incredible recovery thus far....

It's funny how prior to mini-camp, there were sceptics everywhere around the NFL who didn't think he'd make it back. Today those guys are changing their tune, and starting to realize just how huge this trade was for the Phinz....

We're moving up fast, and we're eating up the Pats rear view mirror as we speak. They know with Cpep, we've got more than enough firepower to surpass them in 2006. They wont admit it, but they know what time it is.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

In a few days we will be able to see this "miracle" ourselves. I think in 3 months this will be a non issue. Daunte is ready.

Modern Medicine rules!

Daunte really tore his knee something awful last year.

Being an athlete is one thing, but having the ability to bounce back from such an injury in record time without ANY setbacks would be a miracle.

It would be helpful if his doctor gave the fans an update on how far along Daunte has progressed in comparison to what the standard rehab term is for such an injury.

You forgot to put in an "a'ight" somewhere along the line:

"As far as Daunte's condition, we're taking it one step at a time. I cannot make the prediction on whether or not he will be ready for the beginning of the season, A'IGHT. This is for the medical staff to determine...."

I don't know if I'm the only one that has noticed this in his interviews. Saban has no problem throwing in an "a'ight" here and there. :dolphins:

I expect him to be going full speed when TC opens in a few days...and I don't think there's anything miraculous about it. Even the most athletic QB rollout doesn't compare to what a CB or WR would have to on every play in order to go full speed.

And nobody tackles the QB in training camp. If you do, you get boiled in oil by Nick Saban.

You read my mind! Thanks Pepper for your dedication to rehab.

It is definitely a credit to Daunte that he's not suffered any setbacks though. That guy has rehabbed ferociously.

And to think, Childress kept poking fun at HealthSouth's facilities and used Daunte's rehabbing in Orlando as a reason why he traded him. LOL.

This is where I differ, I think he'll continue to do the back pedals and things he's been doing full out, but I expect the cuts and running to be reduced at the beginning and increased as camps goes alone. By PS game 1 I expect him to try and do cuts slowly, then with some speed.

Let me put it this way, the playbook is fully open to Daunte and all plays with Daunte in the play will be executed at full speed. From there, what Daunte decides to do in terms of scrambling, carrying out some crazy acrobatic stuff, etc...is all up to Daunte and what he feels comfortable doing.
