Commentary: It All Starts With The Offensive Line

Thanks for the props, all!

I felt like an idiot, because I wrote this article this AM, then sent it to Muck, and realized, "oh crap, Marino's getting inducted to the Hall! I should PROBABLY write something about that". So hopefully, that will be posted soon. :)

i thought Ogunleye played LE for the Bears as well.

According to the Ourlads depth charts, he plays RE and Alex Brown plays LE, which reinforced what I thought originally.

I have read that Hadnot has been playing well, not just OK.

What are the mixed results on Hadnot?

Seemed like the reports I'd read said that McKinney and Whitley were awful, and Hadnot was okay, but not inspiring. If I'm wrong, then so much the better. Hopefully, someone like Ozzy or Nasty can confirm/deny this.

I had already said in a new thread i posted that i would be watching Carey and seeing how hes come on since last seasons in-out-in-out debacle. Im hoping he will be out starting LT for many seasons to come.

I hope so, too. It's next to impossible to find a top-flight LT in free agency; they're always way overpriced. So you've got to get one in the draft. I hope Carey is the guy not just for obvious reasons (you know, like increased pass protection and run blocking), but because I think we will still have a lot of holes to fill with our #1 pick in 2006, and if Carey is cemented as a good starter, that's one less to worry about. The one good thing is that if we're wrong about Carey, this year's draft is LOADED with left tackles, so help shouldn't be too far away.
