Commentary: Learning Curve

Good read and I agree with pretty much everything in there.

Since it was in the article I'll bring this up again - why in the name of Dan Marino did we cut Ed Perry? Can anyone answer this question?

Surprised no one has called me on Ronnie not officially having 100 yards...he was there at 101 and went back to 97.

That's nice and all, but the NFL is a bottom line league. The Dolphins lost when they had an early season opportunity to establish control of the division. This has been an ongoing problem since the late 80's.
This loss will come back to haunt them around week 15-16 when they get eliminated from playoff contention.

Isn't every league a bottom line league? A bunch of baseball teams got into the playoffs on the last day of the season. No one will be perfect; early in the season you have to find out what's bad so you can correct it. This game will go a long way to that.

I hope the Dolphins can correct their penalty mistakes. The season's still young and it's better to just keep fighting for that playoff spot than give up just because you lost to Buffalo. You can't say "oh, we lost that game, that's why we didn't make the playoffs", because maybe you learned a lesson from that game which became the reason you could even contend for that spot and not fall flat.

Although if they still haven't learned to resolve their penalty issues (big if) and we keep losing, we can get the next Carson Palmer in Matt Leinart.

Hmm, dude, please don't be offended, but i was referring to you as to "one Finheaven columnist" :)
Thanks for a very good column.

I'm not offended, but please make sure that you attribute it properly. I don't want any legal folk coming after you for plagiarism or anything like that. I have a friend who is a native Ukrainian...can you send the link?

Well, Perry, i don't think i am going to have any legal problems, Russia still doesn't have adequate set of laws, that would protect author's rights as it should have been. Thats why russians have serious problems to read, for example, best american fantasy or sci-fi books, serious US-based literature agencies just avoid having any deal with russian firms, they cheat too much. Same problem is with software materials.

The only problem i am facing is possible offense to the Finheaven.Com columnist(s), people whom i respect a lot, i would try to avoid offending anybody linked to Finheaven.Com at any cost. :)
And i don't receive or seek any fame or money when translating Finheaven.Com materials, just doing it to provide people, who don't speak English, with Dolphins information.
Still, if you would like me to stop, just let me know. :)

Your friend is also welcome to join our russian-speaking community of NFL fans, right now it is loaded with Patriots' fans way too much.

I think the one thing you said that concerned me the most about the team was, as you said, the team came out flat and appeared not ready to play in the beginning. True enough, it was a loss but it was a loss that we can look at and say, hey...we should have won that one so maybe the next time we are down 10 points, the team will have the confidence to comeback. Previous years' teams would have folded.

Getting back to my point...does anyone else see that we have come out flat since the Denver game ??? Does that concern anyone else ??
