Commentary: Mid-Season Positional Analysis

if you add up the percentages they go over 100%. im confused.
Good point, but the article was still well conceived. For OT, though, I really like Eric Winston of Miami. He looked great in the game against VT.

good information. too tired to express my opinions.

its not a bad draft until whitehurst. Id love whitworth in rd 2 but he wont last. Williams is probably more a safety then a cb in the pro's but at least he should be good.

Also chad jackson being a top wr speaks volumes abut this class @ that spot. If dwayne Jarrett comes out its probably he or pagan as the top player @ wr

very good write up.

although i would prefer a LB, i agree with the CB pick, but disagree with the S probability.

the problem is daniels.

if he gets moved to safety, there will be abundant talent at S, but severly weakens the CB position. and if they move him to safety, then Schulters, who has played well, likely wont be resigned

also, this would require both drafting and signing a FA CB. i dont disagree either way, but i think whether or not he is moved will cause a chain reaction either way

Yeah, I've heard good things about him, but I haven't seen him play. I'm just going by what I've seen and liked. I'm sure Ronnie B knows a good deal about him.

agree with most of the postees on this topic. this is a good bit. im very split sided though. There is a pretty good field as far as quarterbacks in this draft, especially if young and quinn both come out. but i STILL thing this team can win NOW. I still think the foundation of the offseason needs to be a QB, preferablly a veteran who can step in and help right away. I am a very greedy fan and im getting sick of seein the fins lose, so to think that next year is a rebuilding year means i have to wait a year and a half till i can get excited about my fins again. put a few more guys around that QB, and help in the secondary, i strongly beleive this team competes for the division next season

Keeping Schulters as a veteran safety with experience could go a long way and I think the Fins should keep him even if Daniels moves to S. I agree that we need to draft a CB and sign a FA CB. Rookies always make mistakes so it's good to have them under the tutelage of good veterans like Sam. I still think the Fins should try to trade up to get Leinart. Ask any Bengals, Colts, or Giants fans if that #1 QB they got was worth it. There's always a good tackle in the later rounds. We've got a good track record of drafting LB's in 3rd or below rounds and hopefully that continues.

I'd love to get Leinhart, but if we couldn't swing drafting Alex Smith, and we were number 2, how the heck are we going to get Leinhart picking closer to 10 without destroying the franchise.

I don't think Saban was even interested in Smith. If he dropped, fine take him, but I think he had his mind set on Ronnie from the get go. He didn't even draft Rodgers for the same reason. In this draft, they'd be 3rd or 4th rounders at best. Plus, the most of the teams in the high pick range don't need a QB. Jets could make a move and Miami should do it's best to counter that.
