Commentary: Thanks, Dan

Great article. Couldn't agree more. I thank Dan for all the great memories he had with the Dolphins. He's a true legend.

good commentary...thank you....and again..that you Dan!

You're on a roll today. 2-for-2.

Phil, one problem (great article though).

I remember that Pats game very well (94'). The TD pass he threw to Fryar was on 4th and 6th. I remember after the game my dad telling me only Marino had the balls to launch a bomb on 4th and 6. If I'm wrong (which would shock me), then feel free to say "I told you so."

as jerry mitchell once said... "it's a good read..." - nice work ninja :hump:

I think you're probably right; all I remembered was that it was fourth down at midfield. Now that I think about it, I think 4th and 6 is probably right.

It's like I said in the other thread; I wrote the OL article, and then remembered, "oh crap, it's Marino's induction today! I've got to write something about that!"

Or maybe I was just trying to bury Steve and Perry on the commentary page. ;)

Cheap shot, Doc, writing about a preseason game just to bump me down a notch.

So which way will I remember the Marino Era? It should be obvious. The man was the greatest player in Dolphins history, and the best quarterback in NFL history. In a just and fair world, he would have a Super Bowl ring, but in the end, it doesn’t take away anything from his legacy.

Amen.

Thanks again, Dan! ;)
