Commentary: The Winds of Summer, Part Two

Anyone want to talk Marlins baseball or trade season in general? This is the thread for you!

Mike Lowell is killing my fantasy team damnit, he better pick it up! I think the Marlins could be in trouble though, Beckett is back on the DL and I dont see the Nationals really falling that much in the 2nd half. Plus the Braves, even with all there injuries, are still right in it. I dont really see the Marlins as big buyers before the trade deadline either so you better hope the guys you have start producing. Not saying you cant be a force in the NL though, you just need the guys you already have to play the way they normally do (Pierre and Lowell like you said).

Well, Mikey turned on a ball and hit a long bomb last night in a 40 mph crosswind...so that's a good sign. I kinda stayed away from the rest of the division in the article, but Washington has won so many one-run games and scored fewer runs they've given up (or it's close at this point), the law of averages tells you it's gonna even out at some point. And the hardest spot to win from is the top spot. You can be sure Florida and Atlanta are going to be barking up Washington's heels. Maybe even New York. I do think Atlanta will win the division and the Marlins the WC, but there's not too much the Fish can do in the next two weeks or so but sit back and see if this bullpen mix will be consistent and if the hitters can perform. Then, when you really know what you need, you can go out and make your deals.
