Commentary: Wanted: Franchise QB, Inquire Within

matterith, it doth not.

good article, but kinda like preaching to the choir... im going to go play ball now, hopefull ywhen i get back home ( 2 - 3 hours ), they'll be more to do on this site, than read opinions on which one of these qb's to scoop...last time i looked, i had absolutly no control over what the MIAMI DOLPHINS do when my ps2 isnt turned on.

one or the other, no matter who we get, we shoulda got the other one..

that is an unstoppable force on these boards...

"Either Brees or Culpepper will be a gamble. Culpepper’s coming off a serious knee injury and could be out for the first half of the season. Brees has a partially torn labrum and made an off-the-cuff remark this week about possibly sitting out the 2006 season, though that seems highly unlikely. Of course, a franchise quarterback seldom falls into one’s lap without some defect. If they were flawless, they wouldn’t be leaving their current teams. It’s a gamble, but it’s a pretty high percentage gamble." That's why we have to take the gamble.

While I appreciate your feedback, if you concede that we have no control over the Dolphins front office, and think this is a waste of time...why are you on this board in the first place?

Phil:
Once again excellent work. You hit the nail on the head. Part of my ongoing gripe during the Wanspeil era was the absence of playmakers. Especially at the QB position. Sooner or later you are going to have to look for the QB to win a game or two for you. We just have nto had that since Marino.

I am very impressed with how Saban is approaching this whole thing. I think we are in for a good ride.

Thanks for the stellar commnetary.

Thanks! Of course, it should be noted that I missed the timeline by a bit, by the looks of things.

Nice article Phil,

I believe in what you wrote.

Small correction, I believe the 2002 team had the #3 ranked overall defense versus #4. I believe that team also had 8 Pro Bowlers.
