I was not offended I was surprised and it's not about me. How do you acknowledge someone with a slur??? A goof???

Mike Florio uses it to disparage Pasquarelli not as banter with a colleague. Just as Florio calls people turds should that be a goof to refer to Peter King???

2. Pasquarelli isn't a colleague by any stretch. I do this stuff in my spare time, for an audience roughly 1/100,000th the size.
3. I didn't (and don't) think of it as a slur, personally. I think of it as a semi-clever play on words and it never even occurred to me that it might be offensive.

Regardless, the amusement has officially been drained from the term, so it goes in the dustbin of nicknames now.

I don't understand how you think I was comparing you to Florio or a colleague of Pasquarell??? I was not. :)

As I said before this is no big deal, I need no answer and as stated I was just surprised how anyone can profess respect with a name used by someone who you clearly understand is not the most delicate or respectful of people.

And when you consider how many yards he ran backwards and sideways to evade....probably more than the average back!

Some how i think Miami is going to be a more pass oriented team and use Ricky and Ronnie more in the passing game, whatever works i'll take. But i dont think this team is going to be breaking any rushing records set by the 70's Phins with the 3 headed monster backfield of Csonka, Kiick and Morris.

You're right, they probably won't approach 2500 yards rushing as a tandem, though that would be pretty damned impressive. :D

Good article. The 72 Dolphins trio was amazing considering that was over 14 games AND we had Bob Griese.

Actually we did not have Bob that much, which made it even more remarkable.
