Having Ricky and Ronnie and backfield is among the best 1-2 punches in league with possibly the only better combo being Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes and result wise so far the KC backfield would have an advantage.

The best backfield I can ever think of was Dallas with Dorsett and Walker two all time greats. Dorsett the 7th all time leading Rusher and Walker the all time all purpose yardage leader for pro football(Take away his USFL totals still ranks 5th.) i think it would be hard to come up with a better set of two players than that.

If Ricky and Ronnie had the KC line in front of them and a legitimate threat at QB...WOW!

quite possibly true , just comparing results and talentwise the KC backs are definately not less talented.

Yes, now that would be awesome.

they are awesome. but the thing that concerns me is that they are both slow starters.

one of the reasons i am not opposed to trading ricky is that i think the fins would be better served to have a quick, change of pace back that doesnt need 15 carries to warm up...to compliment ronnie

Well Reggie Bush will be gone at pick 1 lol.

true  but i really think the type of runners the fins have is part of the reason why the fins would start slow in the beginning of games.

Anybody else know of any backfields that would compare to ours and KC or an alltime backfield better than Dorsett and Walker. I love our threesome of Morris , Czonk and Kicck but definately not as talented as Dorsett and Walker.

I think they're probably the most talented tandem in the league, but not the best 1-2 punch in the league. I don't think they complement each other that well. I think Williams needs to be the featured back in order for him to be really productive. For example this season the two of them combined for 375 carries, and 1650 yards. A few years ago, Williams had 383 carries for 1853 yards. Admittedly, Williams isn't going to rush for 1800 yards every year. But at the end of the season, with Brown injured, he got the ball more, and I think that's when he was the most productive.
