How come the raiders get 2 picks if they only lost one player? Also I see the jets got 4 but 3 of them are after the 7th round. Actually, there are so many picks there is like the 8th round.

Ozzy rules!!

The Jests compensation - a 4th and three 7ths - is total bull. They really didn't lose enough talent to warrent the 4th. Who on the list below is a big name? Anderson - ha.

NY JETS
Lost: Richie Anderson, James Darling, John Hall, Randy Thomas

The Dolphins lost Jed Weaver, who happened to become the starting TE in San Fransisco. I would say that deserves a 7th rounder.

How about Coles?

When the net-loss of teams does not equal 32 they give the worse teams compensation picks at the end of the draft. The Chargers got an extra one too.

There are 32 compensation picks, which essentially makes it an 8 round draft.

Coles was restricted I think, & I think it only goes for UFA(could be wrong). Randy Thomas who signed for around $5-6m a year with Washington warranted the Jets the 4th round pick.

The 4th rounder is for Thomas. He signed a huge contract with Washington.

Coles doesn't count, he was a RFA.

Jets lost a lot last year. I hate 'em, but you can't argue that they got 4 picks. The 4th kind of sucks, but probalby won't hurt in the long run *crosses fingers* and the ths are well crap anyway. I'm not frettin. Wish we would have gotten something though. But it's aight :D
