Compensatory draft picks?

i dno, wud assume so

BTW, FYI comp picks are not tradeable.

how would that be regulated...i personally dont think any picks should be awarded simply because teams cut most of thier players to get new ones...or traded STAR players to get new people...the WHOLE league has done it and lost some significant players...so if compensatory picks are awarded, what makes the packers(for example) special from any other team, we have all made big trades and have lost stars, so are we all awarded compensatory picks??

I'm talking about the ones for this year announced by the NFL. They don't give it if teams cut a player and he signs with a new team. They are awarded to teams that lost more free agents than they signed. The higher the pick, the better the player they lost.

This better explains them:
Under terms of the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in a year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.

The number of picks a team receives equals the net loss of compensatory free agents up to a maximum of four. The 32 compensatory choices announced will supplement the 223 choices in the seven rounds of the 2005 NFL Draft (April 23-24). This year, the compensatory picks will be positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost.

Compensatory free agents are determined by a formula based on salary, playing time and postseason honors. The formula was developed by the NFL Management Council. Not every free agent lost or signed by a club is covered by this formula.

regardless its a joint decision and i for one say no

not being funny... but how many positions have you got to fill on your roster?

my third round guy is gna struggle to make my roster... adding 50 odd extra picks is a waste of time....
