What kind of stats would they have to have in order for the Dolphins to get any compensatory picks?

Crowder was released, so he is not eligible for compensatory picks. Ricky and Ronnie didn't sign major deals, and with the deal we gave Burnett, it will probably end up being a wash. Maybe a 7th?

Is it based on the deals they signed or the production they give to their new teams?

it's the mysterious compensatory pick formula that the league won't release. it's something along the lines of

any player lost in free agency = 7th round pick, 6th rounder if they got a long term deal, 5th rounder if they made the probowl, and 4th rounder for every player that the pats lose.

Well nobody signed crowder so forget a pick for him and as for r&r..They signed minimum contracts so i doubt you get much for them..

And if the Patriots lose a FA, they automatically get a 3rd. :badmood:

Both. It is also based on how many free agents you signed, compared to how many you lose. Players traded do not count(Bush will not be part of the formula) and neither do players cut. That goes both ways. Jason Taylor was cut by the Jets and Colombo was cut by the Cowboys, so they will not count. Burrnett WILL count.

i think we could get something for mcquistan.
