I know you can't trade compensatory draft picks, but is there a rule against you using a compensatory pick to draft a player and then turn around and trade the player on draft day?
Hey Greg.....I wouldn't swear to it, but I think once you draft a player you can do whatever you want with him, including trading him. What do you have in mind??...just out of curiousity.
Nothing specific. Just wondering if for example, Miami could enter draft day agreement to have the Titans use their compensatory pick to draft a player like Gavin Escobar in exchange for Miami sending them Devon Bess. Just wondering if there's a way around the rule.
Seems like an obvious way around the rule and it would make the rule pointless. Just tell the team call us on draft day and tell us who you want us to select and then we'll trade him to you.
