This really sucks knowing a day after the 2018 season ends that the only thing we will be competing for in 2019 will be the 2020 #1 overall pick. And I dont trust Greir to lead this franchise back to winning. The guy has been part of a consistent loser for 20 years. What great insight could he possibly have coming from loserville Miami Dolphins. **** you Miami

I'm really of the mindset that the Dolphins shouldn't draft a Top Qb this year. They should do the very best they can to build a strong OL in preparation for Qb the following year.

SIgn whatever FA this offseason.

Don’t agree...you scout the QB’s thoroughly and see if you have a conviction on one this year.

It’s laughable to suggest there are no QB’s in this draft.

Oh! I'm sure there's some Russell Wilson somewhere in this draft that everyone post draft will say they knew was a stud. But on the surface, there doesn't appear to be a bonafide star according to the guru's on this site. If that's the case then...

My thinking, in taking the Tannehill situation as my guide, which I believe is the best strategy regardless of the QB you chose and particularly for the QB you choose that's not all world, is to shore up a competent OL. If you develop a competent OL then you don't need Baker Mayfield back there. If you don't develop that caliber of OL play then you need a Houdini back there on just about every play and run the risk of ruining the young QB talent before he's even gotten a chance to settle in the NFL.

We've seen this movie before. Let's not repeat it.

The plan should be to draft a 2nd or 3rd round QB this year, see what he has and if he sucks you are assured of a high pick for QB in 2020, and if he’s a hidden gem, that’s a bonus. Browns did this with Kizer and it paid off with the first overall pick and Mayfield.

A new coach means a new QB. Bringing in a new Head Coach this year means we're shopping for a QB in the 2019 draft … just what that usually means. I'd rather get a pass rusher in this draft and look for our QB next year when there are more quality signal callers and we have time to assemble resources in case we need to move up to get a signal caller. More likely, we would want to trade away this year's first round pick to get a first round or more in next year's draft … but new coaches don't do that, so that's highly unlikely as well. Our timing is bad.

I don't think Ross thought this through very much. Said he made the decision after the game.

He’s been thinking about this since the Vikings game. He made his decision last night.

Anyone we can trade off this year to help us secure #1 pick? Can’t really think of anyone worth trading. That’s pretty sad

As much as I respect the guru’s on this site...I remember myself touting a kid out of CAL named Aaron Rodgers while the “gurus” doubted...you should never “write off” a draft as devoid of QB’s...it may be weaker than others on the surface...but to say forget it and wait till 2020 is ignorant.
