your left guard is your primary pulling guard...he can't pull worth a hoot...he's more your straight ahead mauler type...playing out of position...should be at right guard
Really ? How many plays out of the usual 50 to 60 on offense is the LG asked to pull ? I have time. Then watch all the games you have recorded. Tell me this, why does a guard pull and when he pulls what is he supposed to run thru ?
If you look at every game from last year and this preseason when Incognito is asked to pull to pick up the De or CB on a blitz coming past statue Carey, he accomplishes every single pull/block.
Watch when he is asked to pull thru a hole supposedly made by the RG and RT, both last year and this pre season. Watch. Not one single time was there a hole on the Right side to pull thru, not one time. Most times this year he pulls and either Columbo is being pushed into the hole the LG was to go thru or Carey and Columbo are being violated by the defensive lineman and again, there is no hole to pull thru.
Last year it was the same story, again, watch any game you wish, Jerry or McQuistan and Carey were literally being violated by the guy in front of them to such an extent there was literally no hole for a pulling guard to go thru.
Watch other teams with what is considered successfull pulling LGs. You can bet you sweeet *** that there is a hole made on the Right side by their RG and RT for the LG to pull thru, everytime.
At this point in time we could have Incognito, Logan Mankins choose any LG you want in the entire NFL and know what ? The results would be the same. Carey and Columbo cannot open a hole for a LG to pull thru to save their life. Watch the games, watch where the LG on our team is asked to pull thru on the Right hand side. Since the start of the 2010 pre season and up until this point in time, there has not been one single time there was a hole for our LG to go thru, not one single instance in all that time. Thats friggin sad. Last year, Carey and Jerry and McQuistan and this year Carey and Columbo are quite possibly the worst RG, RT combos in existence in the entire NFL. You can have JAKE at LT, LG and C and without anyone that can play the game of football at RG and RT, the entire Oline is blown up. Like I said, watch any game you choose where we ask our LG to pull. Go alllllll the way back to last years first pre season game , all 2010 and this pre season where it was ones against ones
People on this board and local media, Armando and asss clown Omar Kelly have absolutely no clue of how it all actually works. All they know is they want an Olympic sprinter at LG. Even if we did, guess what, he too would run into the mass of bodies that cannot open the hole on theright side. Watch the games folks, see what is really happening out there on the right side of this offensive line. Its beyond sad so much its at the comical stupid idiotic funny stage now.
