i won't argue he hasn't been getting any help from interior guys around him last year and carey and colombo this year...but if you think that guys a good left guard fit frankly i think you've lost your marbles...

and i can say with pretty damn good certainty that you'd be hard pressed to find someone on here who watches more football than me...i'm a junky

It's really ridiculous some of his arguments. "How many plays a game do LGs pull?". Who the **** cares. that's not the damn point. Even if it was only 5 plays a game if we had a guard that could pull on the left and Richie (who I think could be a potential pro-bowler) on the right; we would have a much higher chance of success than if Richie were at LG and a Richie clone at RG.

I agree with this.

I still say Gurode at Center, the rookie at LG for many reasons, and Rotten Richie at RG. That would INSTANTLY clear up several problems

Livas and Polite being cut doesn't make sense to me. Polite was the most respected player in the clubhouse. Livas could end up being something special with another team. He could turn out to be another Mel Gray or a Ernest Given type of player.

Livas was beat up some or hurt some this preseason which may have had something to do with it. Spears was buried pretty deeply on the dept chart along with Delvin so regarless of what we saw of the last 2 guys they probably feel like that they can get them to the PS if they want to. For team speed you would like to see these guys stick but you have to figure that they could not contribute these first 4 games which are going to be pretty tough so the veterans get the edge. Sure we are going to regret it if they end up starring on some other team. Looking ahead to next years team is not the priority with this staff now.

No surprise in seeing Lou Polite get cut. He wasn't made for this offense, no sense in trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

I'm surprised no one is really making a big deal out of this: The fact John Jerry made this team with how he played this offseason is completely and utterly ridiculous.

Will Allen, Polite, Nate Ness...some good players were taken off of the team. People are calling out Spitler, but he really gave it his all and played with a bloody face, making a good amount of tackles on special teams and defense in the offseason. Jerry did nothing but report overweight and fail to do his job. The fact Jerry is still around speaks more to a complete inability to accept responsibility for a poor draft pick and also a continued inability to assess talent on the O-line.

I agree with almost all of the cuts, but Jerry staying on this team is crazy.
