ok.. im being completely hypothetical here... THIS IS NOT A RUMOR.... i did not here this from anywhere... but just for fun... would your trade our #1 overall for atlanta's 3 second round picks? ok i know it doesnt add up in that whole points drafting thing, but we would not have the burden of overpaying an unproven player.. and we would have picks 32, 34, 37, 48, 57.... thats 5 people.. 5 in the second round.. haha i think its great we could fill all of our needs... OT, CB, MLB, DE, QB? whatever makes you all happy... i think it would be awesome, but what about you.. and if you would... what would be your 5 mock picks there... mine would be:

32- Antoine Cason: CB Arizona
34- Sam Baker: OT USC
37- Quentin Groves: DE Auburn
48- Dan Connor: LB Penn State
57- Malcom Kelly WR Oklahoma

I dont know.

This team needs a big time player, a cornerstone to anchor the franchise for the next ten years. A marketable guy who people want to see play. It's more than just the talent level. For me to do that there would have to be a REALLY deep draft. And for Atlanta to trade up two spots to number one without giving up their number pick would be a highway robbery.

I would do that . It's the type of trade that can really turn a franchise around. Jake long or 3 potentially high end starters? I think that a no brianer

Yeah i know but still.. i think its still fun to think about... 2nd round (esp early second round) is my favorite part of the draft

YES!!! 5 second rounders = 5 potential starters. I would take it and be very happy! We could pay these five starters about the same as we will pay our overall #1 pick.

My picks would be:

32- Antoine Cason: CB Arizona
34- Curtis Lofton, LB, Oklahoma

37- Quentin Groves: DE Auburn
48- Early Doucet, WR or best WR available
57- Ray Rice, RB, Rutgers

There are a lot of 2nd round guys who turn out being solid players, but i dont know if it's worth the risk trading down for that volume of picks. Maybe if we got the three picks this year, and some picks next year?

Atlanta though would end up having the 1st and 3rd pick, i dont even think they'd be able to afford to draft two players in the top 5.

your dilusional is u think malcom kelly is dropping to 57. hes probably going to be the first receiver taken. groves and connor wont drop that far either.

would your trade our #1 overall for atlanta's 3 second round picks

I WOULD do it to SWAP spots. they get the #1 and we get #3.

i would make that trade so fast the comish would have a hard time
keeping up with the card!! and really, that is a great trade for
atlanta if there is a player they really covet like ryan or dorsey. they
get there man and still have a 2nd round plus 3 in the 3rd.

that would give us a TOP 3 PIC and 5 in the second round!!!

and still have massive room to trade up or down or collect
even MORE pics.

the value in this draft is HEAVY in the second round and having
5 choices there would be incredable!!

heck, with the way this years draft market is, i would consider
2 of there seconds and there 3rd. we still get a top 3 choice
[or trade down again for more selection] and have 4 #2's and
2 3's.

that has been my hope ALL ALONG that atlanta becomes our trading
partner. the redskins have a crap load of 2nd and 3rd round pics that
could be beneficial in some sort of trade. but atlanta? they have the
goods and i would take that deal over just about anything else.

to me, 3 # 2's or 2 #2's and a 3rd is better than a 1st round pic
next year. the value is just to great this year in those rounds.

but to fall completely out of the 1st round just for the two pics si
NOT worth it, even in this years draft.

No first round pick for Miami.

No, if you read his thread right.....we would get THREE second rounders from Atlanta but we would not be getting their #3 overall pick. It would still be a great deal.

It's spelled NO BRAINER!!

Damn, that was FUNNY!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

re read.

i meant to say i would do it for swaping the 1st over all and the 3rd.

to fall all the way out of the first is not worth it.
