Need some help here. I'm not sure if it was Celtkin that sent it to me or one of the other mods. It's a website that let's you check if your getting the whole bandwith with your cable modem(hope i'm making sense). I had some time on my hands and I remember that on the chart I was not getting the full use of my modem. So if anyone knows of this link it would be great. Thanks in advance. School vacation and a lousy weather week to boot!

Speakeasy usually reports higher than real bandwidth speeds. If I compare bandwidthplace with my local RR interface, the results are nearly identical. I like the interface of Speakeasy, though.

Those two sites are good but keep in mind that the bandwidth can vary during the busy times of the day.Many times the test will indicate you have the BW that is advertised...............locally .............but its a different story when you try to connect out of your region especially internationally.

For instance I get max bandwidth during the night but only 10 pct of the stated BW during high traffic hours.

Iin addition unbeknowst to you many ISPs will throttle your BW during high traffic hours.

In fact some will restrict your internet access only to so many Gigabytes/Month.

Check that with your ISP..

I get between 3 and 5.

1 MBit/sec is very good.
