I remember the fall out after he stood on Aaron Rodgers this year. From what I remember, he's one big infraction away from a pretty decent sized suspension. He's very intelligent but it looks like the emotions of the game get to him and he enjoys being the bad guy on the field. These feelings are only natural but it's a bit concerning. I like the passion and butt kicking style though.

Thoughts?

Wouldn't say overly concerned, but yes it is something to watch for. Really dont want to see anything like that from him again, but there is nothing you can really do to prevent it. You just have to hope the screws dont come loose at any point.

I almost feel he acted like that as a business move. Detroit isn't a huge media market so by acting like that he got a lot of national press. People start watching him and realize he is real real good. Now he has his money I can easily see him not acting like that, but instead focusing on production. Suh is a smart man and knows what he has to do as a brand and player for his long term future.

So no. Not worried.

Just don't step on Tom Brady... that's a 10 game suspension if you do something like that.

Nope, not concerned. I have a feeling the "dumb" mistakes he made are behind him. He'll just be murdering cats within the whistle!

Suh is an overly excited person on the football field, so there are going to be times there will be dumb penalties (Just like Bryan Cox), but I kind of agree with Ruckus, those crossing the line penalties might have been more to get some publicity and have people actually start watching him, and prepare for the eventual huge pay day then being that out of control.

As for the penalties he will get, and he will get some :bobdole: , it will be an extremely small price to pay, for what he will do on the defensive line.

In the heat of battle that's how he is going to be.Just hope he does not get a big suspension.

He’s going to get some dumb penalties, you take the bad w/ the good. It’s like w/ Bryan Cox you know they can blow at any time but they are worth it. he’s going to bring a nastiness to your D.

That's an interesting theory. I definitely started paying attention to him more when that news came out, especially when he chucked QB's to the ground.
Sure I thought he was a dick, sportsmanship-wise, but at the same time he had a crazy aura about him, like he was bringing back that low-brow aggression that has been missing from the game. I almost wanted to see more.

I'm more concerned that he'll have an aggressive play and not be given the benefit of the doubt from the officials or the league. I suspect they want to make an example of him and a play that might be borderline might be seen as flagrant if Suh is involved.

Very concerned. I don't know why he hasn't gotten harsher penalties already for some of the crap he's pulled. I fully expect the league to crack down on him harder now that he's a Dolphin. :foundout:

Now that he's s Fin, you can bet your bottom dollar whatever leeway he had is gone. I'm sure they'd let him slide with more **** had he signed with Dallas or another team the national media loves to give constant falatio to.

Theres no way he committed those atrocities on purpose to get media. He could have been suspended and lost a good amount of money. It sounds like a good theory but because he's so smart is exactly why he wouldn't have done those things on purpose. That was game emotion caused.

I'm not staying up late worrying about it but it would be challenging as the whole D will hinge on him. Once we see them play WITH Suh it'll be agony no tot have him even for a game.

The theory may not be very common the people normally do, but if you look at all the evidence, it could be very well be possible.

1. Suh is a very different person off the field, then he is on...very doubtful a person can be so Jekyll and Hyde unless there was at least a bit of calculation involved.

2. As you said he is a very smart individual, so if anyone would do something like that, it would take someone smart enough to know that a suspension and the money lost would be nothing compared to the amount of money teams would pay after know how much he could take over a game.

3. If he really was such an out of control player, why did those horrible incidents happen so rarely and so far apart. If he was out of control, he would be out of football right now, because he would have 2 or 3 every year, and would have been suspended indefinitely by now. Instead they happened just in time to bring the spotlight on him again.

4. He played for the Lions, if he did not do that, he would have been thought as a great talent, but because teams and fans saw so little of him, there is no way he would have had such a payday.

OK, my conspiracy theory rant is over. I will just end it with believing he might do some dumb things from here on, but you will not see what you saw with the Lions anymore miraculously.
