Ok everyone, when FA started i was kinda upset because we didnt go after any of the big name players, then slowly but surely i began to understand the direction the FO is heading. they want to build through the draft and make long term fixes not quick fixes like Dave Wateverhisnameis, Nick saban, and all the other morons we had as HC. but NOW every single team in the AFC east (except us) are getting MONSTER players and signing great players in FA. at first the only team that worried me was NE, because they always manage to turn an average joe into a pro bowler!! the bills and jets didnt worry me because of the QB situation in both teams, but now the Bills have a sick WR tandem with L.Evans and TO. i dont care what anyone says TO still can play and he is still a GREAT WR. and the Jets were rummored to be interested in trading for cutler which would set us back another 3yrs in the div. and now the talk about J.Peppers going to NE??? WTF!!! we will get destroyed within the div. i love our team, but im begining to think that this yr we will not win more then 5games. not because we are a bad team, but more because we have a really tough sched. and we are no longer a surprise team like last yr. kinda like the saints in 07 when they shocked the world, and then the next yr sucked!! oh well sorry for the negativity but i jsut cant stop thinking bout all this talk about the AFC east. and NONE about the dolphins! :(
 
NO NO NO there is nothing to worry about. We can continue to sign medicore players and rely on the draft. There is no need to add a proven veteran and build through the draft that is just crazy talk!
 
The broncos are going to need a qb in return or that coach is going to look like a total idiot.Who are the jets going to give them clemens.The phins and the browns can at least offer them a starting qb to go along with a draft pick.
 
man i hope both of you guys are right....im begining to lose hope for next season..we have 2 tough divisions and with our division getting stronger, its not looking good. unless we draft pro bowlers in the first 4 picks we might be in trouble.
 
So let me get this straight.....You're upset because we didn't sign TO and that the Patriots MIGHT sign Peppers?
 
Anyone on this board should be happy we didn't sign TO. The Bills signed him for 1 year in order to make a splash and resuce thier sorry franchise that got skulldrug all over the field last year. Thank your lucky stars we didn't land that guy.

Maybe I am growing concerned because Parcells system hasn't produced a championship since the dawn of the free agency, salary cap era. While Bellicheat has produced 3 this decade. I know I know everyone will now flame me for hating TUNA, and say he ran over my dog, or that my football knowledge is restricted to Madden. BUT statistics don't lie since the introduction of the salary cap he is a very average Nfl coach. He was 2 of 4 in the post seasnon with New England including 1 Super Bowl loss, 1 of 2 in the Post Season with the Jets and 0 for 2 with the Cowpukes. Even Wanny has won a playoff game this century!

Flame away, but prove me wrong 0 Superbowls with 3 different teams with the only thing being consistent was him being rumored to leave! He did it with us and he didn't even finish the season. He could have come right out and smashed the rumor about his out clause, but he didn't! Right before our playoff game no less! He kept that rumor going so he could get the contract he wanted, with his out clause intact!
 
Man, you said it yourself in you post. We are building through the drat. Don't worry about what other teams are doing. We will be fine. T.O. will destroy the Bill lockeroom and chemistry by mid season anyway. We all know NE will be tough again. But, don't worry, we will be fine.

Belicheck hasn't won one SB since the Patriots became heavily involved in offseason splashes...the one possible excpetion being Corey Dillon.

How can you start to lose hope, and the season has not even started. The draft is not even here yet. WTF. :crazy:
 
Here's the difference....the pats are built to win now...they have a franchise QB, a #1 wr, a young stud NT, good LBers...Im willing to bet they draft at least 2 secondary players early. We arn't in a position to dump that kind of money into Peppers or these other big name guys. We need to grow our own solid players before we can start throwing draft picks away on stud players with big contracts. The jets....their the jets! No explanation needed.
