I'm looking to rent a condo the sleeps 6 for the Dolphins Patsy's game in November. I would like to know from someone who knows the area, where about to rent a condo so I can at least drive to the game on Sunday. I've seen a few websites but nothing has really caught my attention just yet. Thanks in advance for the help! Dolphins in 2005

Your best bet would be getting a few rooms at the Meriot in Pompano. Anything closer would be pretty expensive. If you really want to go all out you could get a suit at the HardRock hotel and Casino, its about 20 minutes north of Dolphins Stadium, but again, that would probably be very expencive

Also check into the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It's about 20 minutes form the stadium, but what a place to stay.

dont stay near the stadium. Your best bet is to stay in broward county. If you want a hotel, go stay at the renaisance(sp) in plantation. Its right off of 595 and it will take you about 20 min to get to the stadium. The hotel is right near the turnpike also. The visiting teams stay there now (i think). If they dont stay there then they stay at the marriot marina off 17th strret causway in ft. lauderdale. Therefore after we beat them you can rub it in! As far as condos go, your either going to pay way to much for it or your not going to like the area around the stadium. Plus the traffic sucks.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn right next to the stadium and it wasn't that bad about 7 years ago.

Not sure if that's where the visiting team stays, but I wouldn't doubt it. The Renaissance is where the Dolphins stay during training camp. If you stay there, you'll see plenty of players.

You should stay in either Plantation, Sunrise, Davie, Maybe even check out Hollywood... The Hard Rock would be great, but from what I hear, it is a bit pricey and best if you wanted to stay on site, gamble and be able to stumble to your room. The person that mentioned Pompano is a little off target. I used to live in Pompano, and it is pretty far from the stadium. At least 45 minutes.

The stadium is in Miramar. Stay just north or east of that and you'll be good. South of Miramar is north Miami, and some rough neighborhoods if you don't know the area.

I can rent you my timeshare in South Pompano. Go to www.efairfield.com and check out Royal Vista Resort. Let me know what two nights you need and I will check what I need to do. If you are interested, hit me up at justinb80@cox.net or justinb@cruiseweb.com. The place is awesome, I'll give you a deal. Its 2BR with a Den, has a whirlpool, and is takes me and my boy 30 minutes to get to the stadium.

Just let me know.

You may be right, Dolphreak. I remember staying at a hotel in Pompano just off the turnpike about five years ago, it took me about 20 minutes, mabey a bit more to get to the Stadium. Then again, mabey I got lucky with traffic and who knows if that Hotel is even still there. Anyway, it sounds like you are not too concerned about price, definatly go with the HardRock, I have never stayed there myself but if the Hotel is anything like the Casino, you're in luck

Thanks for all the hits and ideas. The problem is that we are all on holidays for that entire week from Nov 12 till the 19th so therefore I think a hotel would be expensive for six people.

Hey Phish -- check your e-mail. I found 4 places you can get into for less than $100 a night.

Everyone else, I found 3 places in Pompano or Ft Laud, but I found a really nice place in Port St Lucie thats 3 bedrooms or something and huge at a PGA resort. Do you know anything about that area? What would it take, 2 hours to get to the game?
